In your opinion is DBD Survivor or Killer sided?

I don't really know because on one hand the killer side some killers have really strong powers, addons and perks that just make the survivors DC but one the other hand survivors just bring strong perks to the game, flashlights, toolboxes, med kits etc.

Just my opinion others may not agree , It's balanced at the very top with the best killers vs the best survivors but in the median range its more survivor sided and then at the very bottom it's more killer sided due to people just not being good at the game and it not taking a rocket scientist to play alot of killers, but in that median range where survivors are decent some killers will struggle a lot and not due to being bad with said killer but lack of gameplay knowledge like when to leave a chase and play hit and run or when to pressure an area you know they're trying to break up gens in, or just tile knowledge in general, but at the top level killers who are running strong characters and have said knowledge can hold their own and it can go either way really just depending on how fast survivors can get gens done while not three genning at the same time or throwing to try to make plays.

    Can vary to much.

Some maps and some killers can either be op or terribad.

It's on "who wants to win the most" sided.

Killer want to win the most possible way with all best tools? Nurse, best addons, Midwich offering, top meta build.

Survivors want to win? Full 4 SWF group, best medkits, insta shield / heal addons, some nasty anti-friendly killer map offering, decrease hook spawn 3x, etc, best toolboxes, etc.

    Low mmr killer sided.

    High mmr survivor sided.

Cant really say considering there are WAY too many variables.

If were talking about the highest level, no restrictions, even then its hard to say. Because then you have to ask yourself: What killer is it? What perks are they running? What add ons are they running? What map is it? What tiles generated? What perks are the Survivors running? What items do they have? Do the Survivors know what killer theyre versing? Does both parties know what map theyre going to?

For example, a Wraith on a map like Shelter Woods would probably do pretty well considering on average there arent many loops that spawn and a tone of dead zones. The map is also quite open making it pretty easy to spot Survivors. How ever if theyre all running Flashlights, then its a different story. The middle of the map is quite barren and makes it pretty safe for Survivors when usually its a guaranteed hit for The Wraith.

Next lets look at a killer like Spirit. On a map with only short loops, she dominates. Things change if all Survivors run Iron Will/Lucky Break with fast medkits

Now theres Nurse, who is undoubtedly the strongest killer in the game. Put her on a map like Wreckers Yard or Gas Heaven where she can traverse it very quickly and its quite open which makes it very difficult for Survivors to avoid a hit in most situations. But if theyre all running a perk which is pretty much obsolete, Flashbang, then its a different story. Theres a reason why its banned on competitive play, but only against Nurse. It can be a game changer against her.

TLDR: Too many variables for a definitive answer

It’s tilted in favor of survivor if it’s a coordinated SWF team. Communicating on comms is a huge advantage and a coordinated team can slam out gens very easily.

In solo queue, it’s definitely more killer-sided.

Solo Q is probably slightly killer sided however decent SWF's on comms literally get free wins against any killer thats not a 1 million hours twitch streamer who sold their soul to the devil... also killer hesitate to bring perks like NOED or Franklins every game as they are considered toxic while survivors never hesitate to bring the strongest, most toxic and sweaty braindead build every single game... which is very interesting...

I'd say survivors if I had to pick.

    It’s RNG sided.

Survivor sided. It's gonna take many significant changes to change my mind. 6.1.0 delivered on killer buffs that we should have been getting for years, but as usual the devs were intimidated into giving survivors equal or greater buffs, as well as ruining the least weak killer perks, defeating the purpose of the whole thing. That's just from a balancing standpoint. In gameplay, survivors can pretty much not be downed until 4 gens have been done, at least against 90% of the killer cast. Too many strong loops, second chance perks, and runaway gen speed will do that. As of right now, survivors should always win the war of attrition.

In pubs (with players at a decent lvl) its balanced solely around who brings stronger things but if everyone brings the same lvl things then its balanced around who is better. In comp it depends on the rules/ killer but alot of the time its actually pretty killer sided if its a high tier killer

SWF-sided. If no SWF, Killer is highly favored imo.

Neither. It favors whoever brings the strongest weapons. Addons, high-tier killers, map offerings, etc. Whoever brings the biggest guns largely wins.

survivor sided at high mmr, killer sided at low mmr, balanced at mid mmr

Its on the side of whoever brings in their best tools and even then RNG matters more.

I mean is 4 man stacked SWF stronger then a 4 stack Nurse?

What about about 4 perkless solo Q VS a perkless trapper.

Its impossible to compare and silly to try.

But if you want a definitive answer. 2 kills and 2 escapes is considered base balance. Any killer with over 50% kill rate would be considred winning and "beating the survivors", which I believe is all of them, (unless somebody knows otherwise). So if you base the game off that then yes, DBD is killer sided. But I would not say it is.

    It's really easy.

    Survive with friends>>Nurse/blight>>every other killer>>SoloQ>>>>>>>Trapper.

Take your pick, fractured cow-shed or shelter wood. Most based take I have seen you make, but I think a ton of variables come into play as well. Rarely does it feel like in total both sides are running the same power level builds on fair map.

For everyone else in the thread, if solo gets indicator's and mmr gets fixed for survivor's like I hope it will they will get a massive power leap. Not that I think that is bad, but what should follow is map balance and a reduced amount of rng in maps along side it. Survivor is fine or even more powerful than killer unless we get to blight or nurse, it's just too much efficiency lost solo to reach even half of the max potential. Tome challenges and multiple people going for unhooks, wonderers. They all hurt survivor efficiency so much. There really should be a checkmark box that allows you to wait longer to get grouped with/ go against players closer to your skill level.

Depends. Against good survivors, even really good killers will most likely lose but in low mmr (and mid mmr) survivor feels awfully bad.

The strongest possible combination in this game is 4 comp survivor on coms bringing 4 map offerings to ensure a strong homefield advantage, 4 busted medkits or toolboxes with 4 meta perks on each survivor, disregarding the so called tournament rules.

Then we have Nurse, Blight and to a lesser degree Spirit, who have ridiculously strong addons and coupled with the meta perks, they can wipe the floor with pretty much everything that's not a comp team and even then they can quite often carve their way to victory.

Then we have SWF, followed up by Killers and finally SoloQ. Whether you want to call any of this survivor or killer sided is up to you.

Depends on the mmr maps and rng quite frankly certain maps can be extremely killer sided or survivor sided based on bad rng

Depends on what MMR you are on. People on the forums complain about killers being superhumans but the truth i see in the game is completely different. I do fine as a survivor. I wont escape all my matches but i escape enough and even if i dont i still have fun.

As a killer if i get survivors that hide and don't even look behind them yeah im in for a easy treat, but most of the times i get really good survivors, and heres the shockers..most of them aint SWF. So i have matches where i get 1-2 hooks and next match can be against the hiders that die at 4 gens.

Also map is an issue in this game for a killer. You put me into garden of pain and i can pretty much stand and look at trees since i'm not winning that match. Nurse puts us into midwitch you know whats coming. Starstuck agi nurse. All you can do is hope at that point you get some gens done before you all are on the hook.
