How to dodge or avoid forum issues when editing ?
It is quite annoying to see your post or comment disappear when you edit it . Apparently it waits for approval or something and by the time that happens it gets lost and buried under newer posts/replies.
What are the rules about this , which/when a comment gets to disappear and wait for approval ? I usually just fix typos or grammar errors..
I'll usually double comment every time and skip the wait . Maybe if I remember I would delete the first one. But honestly it is quite an annoying feature..

Until you reach the minimum post limit not much you can do from the website. Wait it out for it to appear before the edit, or just pre-write a response in software like word or notepad. Then you can freely edit your terrible rough drafts live like me :)

Strangely this does not happens often like when I was new at the forum. Several previous edits appeared straight away but the last one did not. As if the approval decided to return for some reason.

If you're a relatively new account, edits made soon after the original post will flag the post and edit for inspection. This is most likely to prevent spamming.
