Older women survivors
Hello.
There are 34 survivors. 16 are male. 5 or 7 are older: Ace and Vittorio as original, Tapp, Ash and Bill as licensed. Jake and Jeff (maybe others?) have grey hair cosmetics.
Is there any single female character as old, with equivalence to any of the male survivors?
Why isn't there? 7 vs 0 isn't a coincidence. I presume it's because of implicit values and biases about older women.
I acknowledge that this game has considerable diversity in some ways (which is great and clearly indicative of BHVR's perspective on representation in their game). One could also, as always, point to other missing people to represent, which I'd love to (e.g. indigenous/aboriginal, nonbinary/genderfluid/intersex/agender/two-spirit, Eastern European, etc). But an emphasis here is that this is something that ought to be relatively obvious and something as basic as (old) female representation in relation to (existing old) men (through original, licensed and cosmetics -- compared to none for female survivors).
Briefly searching the forums also shows this has been brought up for years.
If it needs saying: this isn't to bash on any character and especially not the work and creativity put into a new one such as Vittorio. But it's hard to look past in the context of the entire roster. I have no perception of the time it takes or the process(es) to develop survivors, perhaps there already are some (or one) in development. I would love that.
Don't mind input if someone thinks something is off, especially if incorrect where something objectively can be.

i'd also like to bring up that there are 2 black male survivors in the game and only 1 is original. both were released over 4 years ago

I would like a female survivor who is considerably older than a majority of the female cast we have.
I don't know what you're driving at here, when we have Claudette and Elodie as well as 2 female black survivors. Haddie is of Indian descent, and Jake is South Korean. We have a lot of diversity when it comes to ethnicity...
