I'd quite happily support players being able to ban a Killer if it meant I didn't have to deal with ragequitters. I'd ban Ghostface for myself though. He's not a strong Killer but the players I encounter seem to feel that everytime a Ghostface goes more than 10 metres away from a hooked survivor a puppy dies so it's very boring games.

    Survivor doesn't need buffs.

    Matchmaking needs to be better.

I definitely agree with your all your point except solo is playing on hard. Solo is playing the game on normal while SWF is playing on easy.

The thing is if you just play solo and not swf or killer then you don't see what buff do for swfs. I remember when they focused only on solo with og ds and self care,BnPs dark times.

The distinction is irrelevant. They lump in all survivors when they do tuning passes, that's why SoloQ gets regularly left behind when any changes are made. They need to seperate the two and acknowledge that SWF and SoloQ are playing two entirely different games. Until that happens we will continue to get changes that push soloQ survivors away from DBD. I made this thread in hopes to get awareness that SoloQ is dying and it's because they feel like the developers don't care that their experience is very poor.

Thinking about the DBD from long time ago (1.4.2 version), the original version of BT gave the unhooker also an endurance status, that would be a nice balance change given the circumstances of how much killers rely on cheap tactics like camping and tunneling on first hook this days.

If you try to unhook the camped survivor is a guarenteed trade off right now, a win win for the killer and ignoring the hooked isn't a solution either because there isn't enough time to finish gens, and even less if there are suicides which there will surely be because its a miserable experience to get camped or tunneled in first hook.

The devs literally have the tools to balance the game, but it looks like they are too focused on realeasing new chapters and skins.. I hope they consider bringing back original BT to stop this awful experiences for once.

Solo Q isnt actually that bad though, and the reasons it does suck isnt due to balance per say.

I solo Q pretty much every day I get on and the things that really annoy me is DCs, ragequits or bad matchmaking where I'll go against a good killer with basically new players...

Like these issues cant be fixed with solo Q buffs, they require separate changes. God I wish they would I'd love the game so much if they fixed that rubbish

It really depends on what you define as "bad" or "balanced". If you are okay with dying two thirds of the time then the game is in a perfect state for SoloQ. But, if you are someone like me that believes you should have a good chance to escape every other game, then it's in an atrocious spot.

Because that isn't a solution but brings another problem.

A free unhook no matter the circumstances isn't any better.

Survivor would just bumrush the hook without any regard.

It would punish a camper the same as a normal killer getting let back to the hook because it's a lose/lose scenario for them. That's also a reason why it was changed in the first place.

Well I'm Escaping alot, main reasons the killer gets a win is because of bad survivors being mismatched or someone giving up... it's rare I can say "we lost because that killer was really good" and that's a shame...

And it's also not about personal escapes, even if you die often that doesnt mean others arent Escaping in that trial.

Once again though I'd rather matchmaking, DCs/rage quits get sorted as that's what ruins my experience constantly not certain killers/perks. Today alone iv had multiple people rage quit on first hook or down simple due to their own entitlement

Its far better than the current situation the game is facing, and the seconds of endurance could get easily tweak to not get abused. i don't see any problem at bringing old BT back but only an overall better experience.

Even 5 seconds of endurance is enough to prevent killers that face camp and force your team to do a trade or leave the survivor to die. This won't affect killers that don't camp in any way. The real problem with old BT was the duration.

You do say that. You’ve specifically commented that tunneling is a valid form of gameplay—which it is. But that doesn’t mean people have to like it.
