Oh wait... there wasn't any.
Seems odd to me BHVR will plan a holiday event with unique items, knowing players won't be able to use them all and then at the end of the event just scrap them.

The offerings are low in cost, same as a common bloodweb node.
It has also happened several times in the past that they reused the offering for the next iteration of the event, for example the pustula petals and the red envelopes.

Am I the only person who doesn't really mind this?
I like having old souvenirs, and having useless dowsing rods is no different to me than having useless faint reagents or bloodied blueprints. I never touch most offerings anyway, so it's just kinda... shrug.
Don't know why people expected anything different. They've never recompensated old event offerings.

Having 1 as a souvenir I understand, but when you have over 400 it's quite annoying.
And the 'they haven't done it in the past so it doesn't matter' argument is completely missing the point. They never had bots in the past either, but hey, you innovate and improve right?

If they reuse them in future then fair enough, I'd much prefer that then they go to waste.
If they don't reuse them, I would rather have had the common 25% BP bonus then 400 Rods I can't use.

They did innovate this year by reshuffling all bloodwebs as soon as the event ended (and if you purchase event items still in the bloodweb, they don't get added to your account and you get a refund.) Which I'm a little :| with, because I set mine up so I could grab some more halloween flashies and medkits after the fact and now I can't.
I would be very annoyed if they took away my old offerings and gave me bloodpoints for it. Can't please everyone.

Its been like this for YEARS and now its being brought up??? When things have never been cheaper?

It hasn't been like this for years, I still have cakes from the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th anniversary events I can use.
It's being brought up because it's outdated. I have 428 rods that I can't use. That's 856,000 blood points that have been wasted. If you don't have an issue with it that's absolutely fine, but don't act surprised some people don't share your opinion.

It's been like this ever since they shifted away from Pustula Petals as the Halloween offering. Or even older with the BBQ event invitations.
I think I'd care more if there wasn't already a huge precedent of me never, ever using 3/4 of the crap the bloodweb makes me buy anyway.
Like, yeah, it would be better if they made all Halloween events use the same offering and I don't know why they stopped doing that, but realistically you're never going to manage to use more of them than you get back. There's always going to be an element of wastefulness here.

That's completely fair and I get some people couldn't care less about it or not, I just feel (for me personally) 856,000 BP could have been better spent.
I've had a few issues with the bloodweb for a while now anyway and feel it needs some tweaking. Always wanted a system where you could sell your offerings for BP which would solve this for everyone. Those who want BP for offerings, sorted, those who want to keep offerings a souvenirs, sorted.

I like having the souvenirs from past events. They look pretty.
I'm still upset they took away my Hawkins offerings, especially because I had a ton of offerings and didn't even get an equal amount of BP for them.

I'm sure all the brown trash items, add ons and offerings you have add up to way more than 856,000.

To be fair, there are plenty of other useless items, add-ons and offerings that you will also likely never use.

I've seen people complain about offerings not being usable and killers unable to use event add-ons over the course of four years, but they have never been that much of a problem overall because they're complained about like once and then go away for some time. The complaints tend to reemerge around this time actually when the Halloween event ends.

I mean, you knew they gonna disappear after the event goes off.
I personally just started to avoiding them in the web, after I've got everything from the event.
I don't really mind them going off for nothing.=)

Players have asked for a system to refund or exchange items and addons you do not use for a very long time now.

Completely different topic to my post, brown offerings can still be used and give you something. Something and nothing aren't the same.
Also, I agree. This should definitely be looked at. Which is why I've mentioned previously in this post and others that a system were you can exchange offerings for BPs should be implemented.

While they are low in cost, OP is right. They do add up. So they were what..2k in cost? My trapper alone has over 100 left. So that’s 200k BP’s for something now unusable.
