We need an option to hide our prestige
I main Feng. She is my favorite survivor by far so I have spent all of my bp on her and now she is almost prestige 100. When I play the game now, I don't bring flashlights,toolboxes or medkits to look like I'm not trying hard. I come empty handed because almost every single game I get tunneled out. When I ask why I got tunneled they will say they thought I was gonna be toxic because of my prestige. My friend and I both are prestiging at the same time and when we play together there is no playstyle we can play to avoid the toxicity that gets thrown at us. Black wards every game are understandable but the killer will walk right past everyone else to go for us. We aren't toxic at all, in fact we enjoy playing for the meme more than taking the game seriously. But every game the killers hitting us on hook like we are piñatas or something and bleeding us out. But they will ignore everyone else in the game. It's becoming exhausting to play dbd now. It's my favorite game but my friends and I really are on the verge or quitting. With all of the changes it's already borderline impossible to win as survivor. The killers are so much more powerful than the survivors which is understandable against a 4 man sqaud I guess. But it feels more like a 1v1. There's just a target painted on the back of people with high prestige and we are punished for spending time on the game. A lot of streamers can't play their fav characters either because it looks so bad to have a high prestige now. I know it's a bit of a skill issue and I admit that. But the difference is, before the new prestige system It didn't matter as much about the skill level since I was rarely tunneled. I was treated like everyone else in the match so there was the occasional escape. But old dbd and new dbd are night and day. I could just play another character and sometimes I do. The difference in how I am treated is astronomical. But all of my items are on Feng and I adore her SO much more than the others. I shouldn't have to ditch my favorite character because of the prestige system. I hope they give us the option to make our prestige levels private soon. It would at least allow us to remove the target off our backs while they try to figure out how to properly balance their game.

That's weird, for me it usually happens the other way.
Killers usually tunnels me (or other) to death if i am playing a low prestige surv P0-P3 as they assume i will die faster also assuming any high prestige will be a good looper.

Same. With high prestige survivors, you're likely to get fearful killers that dodge or save you for last. Going for the high prestige survivor is a weird choice that reads more like throwing the game than anything else.
But I do think showing prestige in the pregame lobby is a bad idea for a number of reasons, this being one of them. It encourages lobby shopping and for players to single people out in match. There was a reason ranks were hidden in pregame before, and prestige is pretty much the same deal.

Lobby dodging happens nonstop actually. The killer leaves most of the time. Maybe thats got something to do with the types of killers I keep getting. But I don't know. I end up against alot of ttvs and I watch the videos back and they'll say things like "I'll be happy if I can just get that high level out, that'll be a win to me" (before the match even starts) or "That prestige 80 wasn't as good as they thought they were" when I've literally just been tunneled off hook twice at 5 gens for absolutely no reason. I obviously believe you guys since everyone's experience is different but everyone that I talk to/ streamers I watch all seem to say they feel the same way I do. But either way, I feel like everyone should have the option to choose whether or not they wanna show it based off of their own situations and how they feel it benefits them.

I don’t like they show this. I wish it wasn’t a thing. It’s pointless besides a flex you play a character too much. Dodges if your high or low.
