Would have loved to actually see Silent Hill in it's chapter map

Such a missed opportunity. There could have been an outdoor area. Also there is no way Silent Hill needed an elementary that big.

I just hope we get more maps for the Silent Hill Realm. We need more maps in general IMO, and Silent Hill has so much more to offer than just the Elementary School.

Don't get me wrong, Midwich is a decently iconic area from Silent Hill 1 and memorable for being the first place in the franchise where we see the Otherworld really manifest, but it does feel a bit like we got robbed from having a map of Alchemilla Hospital, Lakeside Amusement Park, Toluca Prison, The Labyrinth, or SH3's Mall.

Still, it was honestly a huge shock to see Silent Hill at all. It feels a bit bad to complain it wasn't perfect when Silent Hill had been more or less assumed dead at the time.

in all fairness the mall in silent hill 3 would basically be rpd 2 in terms of layout

lakeside amusement park or the streets of old silent hill would be my pick personally

Yea, the gameplay would depend on how faithful they would be to the original design and whether they'd use the Otherworld or 'normal' version. All those tight hallways and rooms could easily create a 2nd RPD.

But IMO it'd be worth it for having one of the more unique levels in the Silent Hill franchise. Also we could have Happy Burger or the Bakery.

Old Silent Hill would be tough to pull off because how large it is. They'd have to have either multiple maps to include the various iconic areas or they'd have to shrink it waaaay down. It'd also run the risk of having the Haddonfield problem of being way too empty and open on the street.

But if they did it well, it'd be very interesting to see and definitely more representative of Silent Hill.
