A new one for me

Survivor DC in the first 30-40 seconds because they lost a toolbox with a brand new part. I was running Lethal & Franklin's. I didn't even down the person lol

Franklin's Demise is that perk that annoys the hell out of survivors more than almost all of the others. By the time you get back to your item, if you're even able to, the charges are mostly if not all gone and at best you get to keep your item IF you escape. I think this perk should only disable the use of your item for a duration instead of making you drop it.

For sure it's annoying losing your item right at the start. It's probably one of the most underrated non-direct slow down perk in the game, especially when you see multiple flashlights and med kits in the lobby.

You could still use the brand new part though if you had like some charges or do you lose the brand new part on dropping the item?

With how prevalent stacked toolboxes/med kits/flashlights have become in every lobby, Franklin's is the go-to to help manage it. I hate having to run it all the time on my killers as there're other perks I'd like to use instead.

Right now, though, there's no better way around it. Every lobby has become the same. All four survivors are carrying something that will either gen rush, troll, or fast heal. And it's so valuable to the survivors that half the time after knocking something out of their hands, they'll actually stop to pick it up so it doesn't lose charges in exchange for getting downed/hooked.

The rare instance where the survivor group isn't carrying anything or it's just one with something, and I can run a different perk setup, it feels like Christmas.

9/10 times survivors are gribbly little goblins for their items and will go to great length and do a lot of dangerous plays to get them back. In my go to build I have a permanent place for Franklins and I don't bother switching it out if the survivors don't bring any items.

One fun little Franklin's bonus tip is to place a trap on the item as the Hag and just leave. Irresistible, like a moth to the flame.

Bonus tip no 2: when survivor's give up and I decide to meme with them/let them finish the last gen, I like to randomly slap one and then step on their item. Their models are supposed to be stoic, but you definitely can see the look of betrayal, regret and sadness etched onto their litter faces.

Oh, and a streamer once got to tilted that I slapped his flashy out of his hands that he questioned my humanity and sanity :D

Ah Franklin's frustrating for survivors and necessary for killers. It is fun when it messes with a bully squad 🤣

No one's forcing survivors to bring toolboxes/med kits/flashlights. And yet, here we are.

What other options do they have? Maps and Keys? Seems you'd only be ok with them bring useless stuff.
