Game crashes upon loading (PC)

Step 1 : Boot the game
Step 2 : Game loads successfully but then crashes during campfire animation. (I once made it all the way to a survivor's bloodweb before crashing, though).
Step 3 : Restarting the game works, but I'm reporting since its crashed the last three times I've opened the game.
Not sure what else I can say... hope this is helpful in some way?
