The Scientist - Death From Within Chapter
Killer: John Hoffman: A scientist who is told that he hasn't long to live after catching an incurable disease. He has a wife and two children, Bonnie and Clyde. He loved old stories and this was favourite. Bonnie was very smart and loved playing with her legos. When she grew up she wanted to be a mechanic like her uncle Bobby. Clyde was a crazy child who wouldn't listen to anyone. Always running when he doesn't get his way and loved getting attention, even if for the wrong reasons.
He begins experimenting with human subjects and eventually starts hearing voices. These voices promise more subjects and enough time to find a cure. He stares at a photo of his family as he sits in a chair and closes his eyes. When the police arrive at his cabin, John is nowhere to be seen. He disappeared with no trace of where he went.
Map: Cabin
After John goes mad he takes some of his equipment to his cabin in the woods where he performs his experiments. There are holes everywhere, filled with bodies and it is surrounded by trees.
Weapon: Thermometer (It's size is scaled up and it is also broken)
Speed: 115%
Terror Radius: 32 metres
Ability: Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie(Green Toxin): This one affects gen repairs.
Clyde(Red Toxin): This one affects survivors in chases.
There are 2 red toxins and 2 green toxins. Only 1 can be used on a survivor and the survivor must be in the dying state. The toxin increases in effect every 2 mins and the toxin only begins to wear off after 10 mins.
Once either toxin has been injected into a survivor they begin coughing. This can happen at any health state and occurs every 10 seconds.
Stages of toxicity for each toxin.
Bonnie:
• Gen repair speed decreased by 10%
• Skill check zones are reduced by 40%
• Cannot heal other survivors
• Skill checks now come anti-clockwise
• Can only see the great skill check zones, the good skill check zones are still there but hidden
Clyde:
• Action speed decreased by 10%
• Suffer from Exhausted status effect
• Cannot health yourself. Only another survivor can heal you
• Suffer from Hindered status effect
• Constant terror radius. Red stain perceived as behind you
The toxin is at it's strongest at 10 minutes. You experience the worst of it before you start to get better. After 10 minutes of the survivor having either toxin they will go into the deep wound status effect until mended.
The effects of the toxin start regressing at 1 min per effect after 10 minutes. The toxin will be shown on the survivors UI at the bottom. Their character will start filling up with either green or red for which ever toxin they have.
Add-Ons:
Ultra Rare: After 15 minutes of the toxin being in your system the survivor dies.
Ultra Rare: Toxin effects do not regress after 10 minutes.
Very Rare: Can carry 1 extra of each toxin.
Very Rare: You can give a survivor both toxins.
Very Rare: Take 4 Bonnie toxins and no Clyde toxins.
Very Rare: Take 4 Clyde toxins and no Bonnie toxins.
Rare: Toxins last 2 minutes longer before regressing
Rare: Both toxins reduce the killers terror radius by 8 metres.
Rare: Both toxins give survivors the Blindness status effect after 6 minutes of the toxin being in the their system.
Rare: Take 3 Bonnie toxins and 1 Clyde toxin.
Rare: Take 3 Clyde toxins and 1 Bonnie toxin.
Killer Perks:
Totem Turmoil:You see the potential in the tools of the entity and want to exploit it. Hex totems are shown as dull totems however they still give off a notification noise when destroyed. There are 1/2/3 extra totems that spawn on the map. Survivors who destroy a dull totem will have their auras shown for 2/3/4 seconds.
Hex: Heart Attack: You see the potential in generators, with a bit of work you can make them deadly. If a survivor misses a skill check on a generator they will get a shock. This shock will injure all survivors on the generator. The generator will also be locked for 5/10/15 seconds.
Not So Fast: The Entity sees how you dispatched of the other survivors and knows with a little more time you can catch the last one. Once the Hatch is activated it becomes locked for 40/50/60 seconds with the killer getting a 2/3/4% speed increase.
Survivor: James Garfield: Assistant of John. He is a good person who only wants to help John do great things for mankind. He is selfless and finds pleasure in helping others rather than himself. As he sees John go down a dark path after his diagnosis he begins to worry. After he finds out he is doing human experiments he calls the police. Later that night he is reported missing. The police assume he fled the city after they failed to capture John but no one knows for certain.
Survivor Perks:
Take The Heat: You dont care what happens to you, as long as everyone else is ok. You can activate this using a secondary action button. After staying out of a chase for 60 seconds. You can show the killers aura to 1/2/3 survivors for 3 seconds however your aura is revealed to the killer for 5/4/3 seconds and you get the exposed status for 30 seconds.
Why Stop Now: You have vaulted a window 3 times and don't see any reason in stopping. You can vault a window 4 times before it is blocked by the Entity with an increase to vaulting speed of 5/10/15%.
Helping Hand: You can't stand back and watch them die, you must help them. For every heal state you fully heal a survivor you gain a token. After collecting 6/5/4 tokens you can heal a survivor from the dying state to injured state using a secondary action. You will lose all tokens earned after performing the action.
I wasn't sure if this killer needed a secondary ability or not. He seems too strong with a secondary ability. I also could have gave this killer a long story and the same with a survivor but I personally don't find them as interesting to read as the killers ability and perks. Also let me know what rank you play just so I have a better idea of how this killer would work at different ranks.
