Trapper op basement camping
I just tested it and I literally just have to make them drop the shack pallet, trap the other side of it and the window while bodyblocking the door and rescue becomes literally impossible lmao

It's possible, with a little coordination. You will see it happen if you keep playing, although it might be more common to see survivors leave their teammates to die in basement vs Trapper. It's the smarter, less risky play, so that's why they do it.

It only affects soloQ players, so it's not important because there are barely any left.

I use Kindred and whenever this happens... I tell myself, "Gonna keep repairing this generator, y'all have fun dying down there!".

You play vs a Trapper? Look out where the basement spawns. Its always in a shack or in the main building.
If u found out, dont go down nearby.
This strategy is the only strategy a Trapper really has to win a game on average.

Disagree w the end…you just have to use your brain more when playing Trapper, to be successful…basement Trapper is a happy accident.

I mean trapper is pretty weak. But he can ruin a team with a basement play in killer shack. Done it myself on midwich too, trap the chokepoint where the pallet is and you got easy downs. It gets even nastier if you run the addons to injure on a trap disarm and to down survs that self escape from bear traps.
Tbh trapper needs a strength, since he's considered a pretty weak killer.

My survivor main friend broke trapper gameplay down like this the other day. If he gets basement then he gets a 1k or we play into his game with a large risk for more fun with the potential of a 4k. Trapper pretty much just has basement left my guy, and its up to the survivor's to play into it or not.

Survivors can still make the save, solos may struggle but it can be done.

They can still save by having someone vault in from the window or pallet, then having another follow to get the save, but it's really nearly impossible to save from basement without giving the killer even more value than you would just sitting on gens and letting them die. But this isn't really a trapper problem, it's a basement problem, a lot of killers become incredibly potent campers with basement in play.

I love playing basement Trapper. It's hilarious when they are tripping over themselves trying to make the save and suddenly you find that you have four people on hooks in the basement. Glorious!
