Boil over on console.

Theres something seriously wrong with the boil over effect on console at the moment. It honestly feels like the pre nerf version when you literally couldn't move. I've played on both PC & Console and the effect is about 5x stronger on console at the moment. There are times when the effect is so strong that it literally halts you in place and you can't actually move. Not sure if they messed something up during an update, but there's definitely something not right with it at the moment.

I agree it's unpleasant to deal with on console. When I see its indicator light up I just know to bee line it to the hook, and if I must go through a door-sized opening I'll most likely have to drop the surv.

Thankfully I didn't see it run too often against me.

Yep honestly it does feel like the pre nerf Boil Over on console. One night I went against 2-3 survivors who had it equipped each match, sometimes even with Breakdown. It was terrible.

It would be bad enough with just the difficuty of movement but it also hides the closest hook aura AND gives wiggle progress after the tiniest of drops. I've lost count of the number of Kates I have lost because Boil Over throws me across the shack as I make my way to the stairs.

Boil Over users have the cheek to ask me in chat why I hit them on the hook too!

As long as it is not an indoor map, I feel like Boil Over is reasonably fine on console

But if you're on an indoor map...

This isn't even an indoor map and I ended up not being able to get through the damn door

Now granted, this was in March so before the update that made the wiggling less intense but on indoor maps, it's still a massive headache to have to deal with.

I personally find boil over fine the way it is as a console player(Xbox). Maybe its a Playstation issue or something. Although I wouldn't cry if it got changed.

I'm on Xbox also and it still feels off. I can remember when it came out pre nerf and how terrible it was. After the nerf it really wasn't bad at all. I can actually remember thinking for months afterwards why would people still run it because it really felt like a waste of a perk to me due to how ineffective it was. It's only just recently that it's really started to feel like pre nerf boil over again.

Sometimes it actually pushes me backwards and will literally stop me dead and I can't move at all. I'm not even trapped on anything in the environment. Introduce any close proximity object & it will more often than not jam you against the object & basically pin you in place. It's honestly not even just a controller issue, it feels very very strong in comparison to how the perk behaves on PC.

On PC it's utter garbage. It might inconvenience you like once out of every 10 encounters. I'm pretty much having to drop players like 60-70% of the time on Xbox.

Boil over should be honestly reworked it's huge problem for console killers but barely anything for pc killers. They just have to watch out that they don't fall from great heights. But for console killer it's just very hard to even move and if there is doorway...

Ain't no need to slap em on hook for any perk they run. I just wish it was more consistently counterable.
