Suggestion: New ranked game modes
Its hard to balance game towards either solo survivors or swf... devs have to choose one, but then game will be unbalanced for everyone else. If game is designed for soloq, then killers are scewed against swf. If game is balanced for swf, then soloq are screwed.
But what if we would have competetive play diverged into two:
- Ranked games, where no parties are allowed (you can call it "alone in the fog" instead of "ranked")
- Casual plays, where all kind of parties are allowed (you can call it "light before daylight")
And yes, players would get ranks in both modes, but in "alone" mod, survivors will get better rewards (due to harder game), and in "group" mode, killers would get better rewards due to parrying against swf.
Yes, balancing game against two differend modes would be harder... but it does not need to be that - balance game only for soloq, adn treat group mode more like "for fun" and lets see what will happen.

Well. if game would be balanced towards soloq, this mode would be more fair, so more killers would participate it, thus swf would have much longer que time... unless you are saying that killers would be better at survivor side balanced mode... in this case you are right.

I don't care about "sides" or swf or whatever. It doesn't matter. Nobody would play ranked mode because there's no incentive great enough, especially for killer. Even the best killers don't wanna sweat every round because the role is inherently stressful. Punishing people for playing with their friends is also ridiculous. Acting like every swf is some unstoppable force is absurd and simply untrue.

Again, but now i agree. But I have nowhere suggested to punish anyone for playing with friends.

I have nowhere said such thing. I was talking about balance issues towards soloq survivors, not killer struggles with swf. And in your particular quote i was talking about my initial post = if game would be balanced around solo survivors, then groups will have advantage.
