After getting to try fogwise it's actually amazing
Though obviously, if you miss greats all the time, it will suck, like it's actually good if you can hit greats. I might add it to all my builds going forward such a great information perk. All I have to say is I hope they make a distortion for killers soon, or I guess you could use undetectable perks, but half of them aren't even that good. I wonder if Pyramid Heads' undetectable perk would be a good counter against fogwise.

It’s great for solo q but it’s yet another perks that is useless if you’re in a SWF on comms. It’s pretty amazing that some people continue to argue that SWF on comms is not a huge game-breaking advantage when a growing number of survivor perks are just worse versions of information benefits that you get for free by communicating on comms.

The fist time i used the perk in a game the killer brought fearmonger. It hard countered it and I got absolutely 0 value from the perk.
I also went against a stealth killer and i also didn't get too much value from it.
I love the perk regardless though

Aura reading trumps communication pretty much always. It still gives you much more accurate information.

Fogwise is amazing.

It's just another meh survivor aura perk, on par with Alert. And that's only if the game gives you skill checks.
Bond is still the best choice for an aura perk for survivors. It's always on, gives more information and can help you get healed.

Fogwise will give you way more info, can be used right at the start of the game. If you are decent with skillchecks, you will have perma wall hacks on the killer…that’s insane value. Even in a SWF, having one survivor use the perk to tell everyone the exact position is very good.
The new aura reading perk for killer is also very good, especially for Blight and Nurse with kick builds.

Try Hyperfocus, Stakeout, Fogwise, Provethyself or CoH. It’s a good stealth solo build.

How does Fogwise give you "way more info"? Be specific.
I tried Fogwise (and I am amazing at skill checks) and while it seems good on paper, it's just not good in practice. Knowing the killer's location when you're not in chase is just not as useful as people think it is.
Actually, I think Alert is better. It gives better information than Fogwise. With Alert you know that something got broken at a location so you get 2 pieces of information every time Alert procs. With Fogwise you only get 1 (the killer's location) unless the killer does something while you can see their aura. Even then, less than 3% of players run Alert.
Not to mention Fogwise is completely useless vs Fearmonger.

mindbreaker counters fogwise. trail of torment is still garbage and has been since its conception due to the yellow-generator aura mechanic. I hope yellow aura-generator mechanic is pending for removal at some point.
