Is DBD console really popular in Europe or something?
Particularly late at night/early in the morning, I always seem to be matched crossplay. It's pretty odd.

Pretty sure there're more console players overall, EU and NA.
Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S/X, Play Station 4, Playstation 4 Pro, Play Station 5 and the Switch.

Yeah, but I normally see SOME PC players. Nothing but crossplay about now.

We should remember that there are also Steam, Epic Games and Windows Store (and Stadia). If you are on steam, EGS and Windows Store players will also have crossplay sign because technically those are different platforms too.

Maybe a lot of them are from Epic Games, DBD was free some time ago in that platform.

Huh, I guess the language barrier might then explain the total lack of endgame chat. Or is that per-platform only?

Per platform. On xbox I can't chat with PC or PS4 players. In fact we don't even have an endgame chat. Idk about playstation though. Tbh it wouldn't be great. Typing using a controller isn't great.

PlayStation also doesn't have an endgame chat. The only ways to talk are private messaging.

Yes. The one that's part of the game, at least so far as I am aware, having only played the Steam version.

Most people that get console is because it's cheap and easy which means its likely to be owned by people who work all day and therefore only get to play towards the afternoon.
Not to mention the amount of consoles way out numbers PC platforms.

You never know whether it was an epic guy who was too salty to say smth or a console player, yes. Sometimes they talk. Not very often tho

Surprisingly it's getting better those days ! It's "Hard mode" for playing killer tho.

If I understand the xbox most played chart correctly "dead by daylight" is on 20th most played games.
