what i supposed to do anything about this perk ? Im playing solo and i never can do nothing against this perk

Calm Spirit helps with the scream. So at least you don´t get detected while dwingling your thumbs.

It will be months before they fix it. They are so slow at fixing huge balance issues like this.
It took them so long to fix Ruin Undying when it could take 5 cleanses to get rid of ruin.
They are probably busy discovering why Knight is so lackluster to play as even though they have been testing him for months now...

Probably an unpopular opinion, but i think Undying Ruin was a healthy combo for the game, since survivors didn´t have to cleanse Ruin at all and could just ignore it. Unlike Eruption.

Ruin/Undying lasted like a month lol. Old MoM, Circle of Healing which is STILL OP as hell, Dead Hard lasted 5 years, old Decisive Strike where you could work on gens in the killer's face and have immortality lasted for years. GTFO lol

CoH is almost okay now.

If Eruption gets fixed, the ability to do gens in 30s in any method needs to go somehow. You can't keep deleting all slowdown and 3gen potential and leave so much stackable gen speed.

Eruption does nothing if you don't get downed. Seems like a skill issue. My soloQ teammates get downed very fast every game; it's just Eruption actually punishes you for their mistakes.

Is it possible for no survivor to ever get downed throughout the whole game? Isn't that then simply a skill issue from the killer's side in that case? Be a bit more realistic, even the devs have said survivors are supposed to go down (and they've designed that way) and killers who know anything will leave a survivor who they have trouble catching and go to someone else.

Eruption needs to be changed against SWFs (as they can just callout when they're close to getting downed), not nerfed. Should work aditionial for survs beeing close to a gen (like max. 2-4 m radius) so they can't just let go from the gen. Same for Pain Res btw. Because let go from Pain Res is already a counter and works for both solos and SWFs.

Old Undying was also fine. Especially with the spawn points, where survivors could spawn next to a lit totem.
As i said, survivors could ignore Ruin and just push gens without being affected by it. Even more, a killer who wanted to get any benefit from Undying Ruin was required to constantly push survivors off gens. Aka not camping/tunneling. Which is currently the most complained thing.

You seem to be forgetting that old Undying would reveal the aura of any survivor close to a totem, any killer with a form of good movement speed would drop everything just to interrupt the survivor cleansing.

Except that's not what happened at all. While one survivor was being tunneled out of the game the other survivors had to choose between doing gens but still having Ruin/Undying up, or finding up to five totems and then having nowhere near enough gens done by the time that first survivor died.
Ruin/Undying at its worst was easily as bad as current Eruption.

So... you are saying that Undying Ruin was doing absolutely nothing while 1 survivor was being tunneled out and the others could do gens freely?

Ruin has no effect when a gen is being worked on. Undying has no effect when nobody is cleansing totems.
Killer tunneling = 3 survivors free to do gens with nothing that hinders them. Or do you think a killer can push survivors off gens while at the same time tunneling someone out?

Hate to disappoint survivors, but the "buff" that happened to Eruption was a bug fix to make it work the way it was intended to.

It will be months before the devs even look at Eruption, if ever. It took years for them to finally nerf Dead Hard. As long as player number stay stable, they’ll just work on whatever they feel like rather than what the community are asking for. Solo queue misery will continue to be ignored

The counter to eruption is survivors avoiding unnecessary chases and winning unavoidable ones.
Personally I run Empathy to keep an eye on teammates; if they give any tells that a down is coming I'll let go for a sec.
Could also run alert to track which gens eruption is applied to.

Just because it was a bug fix doesn't mean that it didn't buff Eruption, much like how the Blast Mine bug fix nerfed the perk when it stopped giving you back Blast Mine if the killer didn't kick the gen

Because it's all connected to the same root problem that everyone knows they won't fix.
The reality is, against top tier SWF kill squads, Eruption is pretty underpowered. Against solo queue, it is overpowered, just like so many other things in this game. Nerfing or buffing anything is pointless until they fix this fundamental flaw with the game.

They should do something about CoH before doing anything to killer. CoH is the most overpowered perk in the game

It is a bad perk that destroys solo queue players because there is no counterplay unless you are in well-communicated SWF. The fact that BHVR did not address this matter is the biggest middle finger to the community. They should be more humble and listen to the people who pay for their products.

It is not the scream, it is the 26 second without doing anything. I could play chess with a computer while I wait for this perk effect goes out.
Killers complained about 5 second DS, but what about the 26 seconds Eruption? If a killer could be stunned or denied to attack for 26 seconds, they would be upset too.

Not that they never get downed. Just not every 30 seconds, which the people who complain about this perk do. I don't get why they can't just use the OP loops in 90% of these maps to run the killer for 2 gens each. No guarantee that there will be a weak link either, and even if there was, it's going away with this team MMR thing. I've tried leaving people who gave me trouble chasing; I just have to chase them later or one of their teammates who are equally capable.

Try to last more than 20 seconds in chase, and don't work on gens you just saw the killer kick.

Okay, so just revert all the changes for killers since 6.1.0. and you will see chases more than 20 seconds.

6.1.0 was nowhere near a cure-all for killers, and especially not a undeserved buff. We've been needing killer buffs like that one for YEARS, mostly to show how survivor-sided the community is. "They get a whole 2.5% off a gen for kicking it!" As opposed to nothing, and then it regresses at 1/4 the speed a survivor working on it. "We get a shorter sprint burst!" So now you can't hold W from one end of the map to the other after getting hit once. "They can break pallets faster!" So now it's slightly less stupid, the amount of time bought from insta dropping pallets and forcing the killer to break them all.
These changes literally did nothing for Trapper, Pig, Clown, Freddy, Ghost Face, etc. They're still bottom tier/can't play vs good survivors.

I am so over killers winning entirely because they are running Eruption and Pain Res combo.
I am at the point I feel like maybe it just isn't worth playing solo survivor until they nerf this as I keep facing this broken combo and it is making solo survivor miserable.
Hens did a great video highlighting how broken this perk is and how when combined with other gen control perks it creates an essentially unwinnable scenario for solo survivors. BHVR PLEASE FIX THIS CRAP!

Sure, but there's 0% chance they ever look at CoH again while next patch Eruption is definitely getting gutted to nothing. Such is the way with survivor sided devs. Strong killer perks don't last while busted survivor ######### goes untouched for years

I mean, Hex: Ruin has been in the game since December 2016 (patch 1.3.0), it took until 3.5.0 to be reworked (January 2020, so about 3 years), during which time it was a staple in practically every build. Following that, it took until July 2022 (a further 2 and a half years) for Ruin to finally be killed.
Similarly, PGTW was introduced in June 2018 as part of the 2nd anniversary, and took until July 2022 to finally be killed for good (that's 4 years).
The devs are only clearly, objectively survivor sided when you pick and choose evidence to fit a narrative, as, especially recently, they've been a lot better at ensuring both sides suffer equally.

Neither Ruin or PGTW was OP. Ruin could be cleansed immediately at the beginning of the trial before you even got any value from it and it often was with how open totem spawns are along with survivors spawning on top of it. PGTW required going out of your way to kick a gen, not op at all and survivors can still gen tap and stop regressing. CoH provides infinite fast healing and you can't get rid of it without shattered hope. Any non braindead survivor knows to boon the top of a main building or where there's no gen and the killer just gets #########

What you describe is like getting body blocked during endgame from 3 healthy survivors. Which ironically is considered to be totally fine.
Anyway, i think Calm Spirit could use a buff. Preventing the whole cooldown thing alongside the scream.

Not every map has OP loops and not every survivor is found near OP loops, some killers even refuse to chase you if you're close a good loop especially if it's closer to the end of the game and 1 or 2 gens are left and they've already identified their 3-gen. Also as a solo if I get chased later I have no idea which resources have been used, so I can make the mistake of running towards the part of the map that has been used up. (I don't have Kate). As the game goes on it is simply easier for the killer to down survivors, therefore Eruption also gets stronger cause it's naturally easier to trigger and it can apply to multiple gens.
Having a weak link isn't crazy uncommon with the matchmaking system prioritizing quick matchmaking, it's just not always apparent because there may be no prestige 1 Claudette/Dwight/Meg/David.

As a small token of comfort, the new fogwise perk has a chance to help against it
I have been able to stop working on a gen on time by getting lucky and seeing the killer swing
Other then that i guess gen tapping like with old ruinhas like a 50/50 chance you avoid it.
It's not much but it's the best i could find out
