Do you think Nowhere to hide will be nerfed?
Title. I'm loving to play with this perk, but I'm afraid it will be nerfed to the ground by the devs in upcoming patches, because it forces stealth survivors to reveal themselves and at least half of players enjoy this gameplay.

*Jeff laughs in distortion*

In all seriousness it is very good. But it's pretty easy to counter. Distortion, jumping in a locker with quick and quiet. Clearing distance. It'll be pretty clear when someone's using it so they'll catch you once then you know to counterplay it.
7 -
Sooner or later Survivors will learn to hide in lockers or further away, rendering the perk useless or use distortion.
Untill then, happy Killings.

I hope so, I think it should never have existed this perk
3 -
Well I thought it reveals anyone within 24 meters of that gen you kick for few seconds.
Not that it reveals anyone within 24 meters of you for few seconds, that honestly sounds too good. Either nerf the range or make it only around the area of the gen.
I know for someone like Pig it's not OP or something but on someone like Nurse or Blight... Probably too good.

as much as i love the perk and the streak of aura perks we've been getting in general, i think this perk is a bit too much it's very strong and kills any stealth plays. it could use a bit of a range nerf or alerting the survivors they have been revealed.

Distortion has been a staple since the meta overhaul for me. Nowhere to hide just gives me a better opportunity to run away after they kick it
It’s fine imo

They rarely nerf information perks or add-ons.
Last time i remember they did it was plague's black incense, but you can effectively undo the nerf by using Lethal Pursuer now.

Distorsion value 🤗

I don’t think it should start showing auras of people after you start walking away. Right now if I kick a gen, and then walk 8 meters towards you, and that spot 8m away from the gen is within 24m of you, then I’ll start seeing your aura even if it wasn’t within 24m of the gen. I don’t think it should work like that.
5 -
Once you know they have it, it isn't as good IMO. So I doubt it would be nerfed.
Stealth doesn't mean they can't do anything after being revealed. They just waiting for you to move on so they can continue working on the gen. If you stick around, that is still good for them because the it just means the others have more time to work on their generators.

It's fine. Can killer have 1 decent aura perk? I can't even argue with people who say "ANY aura reading the killer gets is OP" because there's nothing there. They want Cigar Box and All-Seeing Blood (again) nerfed.
Like others have said, there's plenty of counters. Buffed Distortion, Shadowstep, Object to an extent, etc.
2 -
Just use Distortion. It fully counters any aura reading perks for pretty much the entire game because of that buff it got.

The real issue is it's synergy with everything that causes haemorrhage (e.g. sloppy). easiest fix would be to NOT have the screams interuppt healing.
0 -
Do you really mean nowhere to hide there? Because it looks like you are taking about Hex: Face the Darkness.
1 -
Run distortion. Just like killers are told to run sloppy/shattered hope when complaining about CoH and fearmonger when complaining about fogwise, another very strong aura perk introduced this DLC.
1 -
prolly not it's only stupid on nurse but then again every aura reading perk on nurse is op

*cough cough* Situational awareness *cough cough*

I mean already people are clocking on to it earlier in game so it's one of those perks that gets some value early game and gets limited value as the game goes on because it really only works once before it's becomes really obvious the killer has it.
You also have a counter perk to it so if you really want to just creep around gens all game with your stealth build then you might have to consider changing out a perk to counter a killers ability to let you hide 5m away behind a rock all game.

It's strong.
I don't think it needs a nerf (or even a cooldown), as the Killer is using a Perk slot, they must interact with the generator first as a starting point, there are some base-game methods to counter it, and even if they do bring Iron Maiden, they still need to reach you.
Instead survivors should invest in Perks/Items/Addons if they want to have absolute confidence in their ability to hide.
There sure is a lot of future room to expand in the area of Survivor tools to hide as Killers gain more access to Information Perks.

Dont think so, my point, based on nothing, its that people dont want more regression perks, so it has to be good non regression perks.

I think it’s fine. If it must be changed, maybe make it 24m from the generator instead of your location, but I’d rather they leave it as is so that 4 slowdown is less common.
And running Distortion or OoO can counter it as well.
And survivors also got a powerful aura perk this chapter with Fogwise so I think it’s fine since both sides got treated fairly.

Far too many perks are alerted to survivors as it is before the effect is even applied. Same with some addons. Why should a survivor know a killer is using Dissolution before the effect even takes place? Or a survivor stepping into a trap the first time and Honing Stone immediately showing? Or Dark Devotion? All of these are absolutely nullified by comms, which is common between at least 2 people in most games.
Reason I bring this up because I've always been curious as to why survivors are immediately alerted to them, yet when it comes to a killer using info perks, there's no way for the survivor to know unless they're using Object or Distortion.
The times I've used Dissolution, I've barely gotten any value out of it. Comms is a huge detriment to it, sure, but even someone running solo can see the icon and know to just not vault a pallet after getting hit. Huntress Lullaby reveals itself to survivors as soon as a gen is touched, yet no one's been hooked yet.
I just think that with certain perks like those ones or certain addons, they shouldn't be revealed until the effect has happened to a survivor first hand. As far as survivors being alerted to info perks being used by the killer, I'm kind of against it because it'd just deter most survivors from altruistic plays or hiding. But on the flip side, survivors are given so much information about things that haven't even affected them yet, it is a bit of a headscratcher. I just think if players, no matter what side they're on, had to deduce what was being used like with how info perks are now, the game could regain a lot of the tension it's lost.

yeah, my mistake. it all starts to blend together if you got a chapter in which pretty much every new perk on either side has you wonder 'how did they NOT check for the synergy here? HOW'
0 -
I doubt it gets nerfed it's very good but not OP not to mention that while BHVR acknowledges stealth as a valid playstyle they generally encourage killer-survivor interaction over stealth which the perk enables.

I hope not, it's not overpowered at all and has counter play.
1 -
Nowhere to hide reminds me of Bamboozle when it first came out. An overuse by killers that are poor at tracking/finding players. Not saying you are poor at tracking but the constant genkicking kind of gives it away for some killers. I watched a Knight the other day kick the same gen four times within 2 mins.
I just assume killers who immediately go in to kick a gen with 2% progress have it and/or eruption and make distance while they are doing so. Or switch to my build with distortion. I also never run CoH without shadowstep.
I don't think it needs a nerf or will see one. No pun intended.
2 -
Yup it'll get dumpstered along with Eruption while Circle of Healing just gets to continue existing as the most overpowered broken perk in the game
0 -
No.
When using it I thought "this is going to get nerfed" until I got wrecked on gens. The more gens done the less value the perk has. It's strong to start or when gens are clustered but thats it. No end game value and little late game value.
0 -
It only shows the auras for 5 seconds. You can run Distortion or hop in a locker if the killer is heading over to kick the gen or just leave the area. It's going to end out being a rarely seen killer perk.
0 -
It is countered by distorsion, a meta perk. It is fine.
0 -
Same here. It is my new crutch perk.
0 -
Probably not. I've been using Distortion this week because of this perk. I don't like to go far from my gen.
0 -
It's a bit strong on Certain Killers but otherwise it's fine, so I don't think it'll be nerfed.
0 -
I am not finding it to be a big problem or a perk that makes matches absolutely miserable... unlike Eruption.
So unless it becomes a significant problem I can't see any nerfs in the near future but the community always seems to find a way to break perks and use them in ways that were not intended.
1 -
I was so hyped for situational awareness, then in typical fashion nurse ruined something else.
0 -
And if you are close enough to trigger distortion. You are close enough to start regenning that token straight away 😁
0 -
I think they'll nerf it by changing the 24 meter radius to a radius around the gen, instead of one centered around the killer. It's a super nice perk to have but as usual a bit overtuned on Nurse (especially with lethal pursuer in tandem)
