Garden of Joy
Has anyone just stopped recently in the Garden of Joy to just admire all the beauty, the glorious splendor that this map has to offer? It’s just breathtaking…. I could literally die there.

That's what I say about eeyrie except I would rather play on that map 100% of all games instead of ever playing on garden lol.

I enjoy the Garden on both sides of the fence, I don’t know why all the hate for it. The only map I really don’t enjoy is swamp because it’s gloomy and gross, but I suppose that’s the point of it 🤣

I've always thought it was really really ugly.

Visually, Garden is one of the most beautiful maps. I still can't get over how cool those broken trees and floating splinters look !

Because it spawns cowshed type free map wide loops with a stronger main building. I enjoy going against survivors when the map is overall fair, too little safety and the game is free(shelter woods), too much safety and the there is way less skill expression on both ends(cowshed, Garden). Eeyrie is nearly the same as garden in that way but the main building is not as troublesome and blight can perform way better there in general compared to most killers who just get pre thrown the entire game and take a fat 0k. The killer has to simply be better than the survivor's or have way stronger stuff under their belt. And it was terrible for collision/mobility killers but I have seen that they updated the bushes to not turn those killers into m1 killers for free. Also really only the edges of the map look spectacular, the rest is meh.
On a side note I agree with you about swamp but for different reasons.

Guys, "Garden of Joy" is already meant to be an ironic name. Saying things like "Garden of Pain" or "Garden of No Joy" just makes you look stupid.

But it is an actual Garden of Joy if you're a sweaty survivor. Literally just beeline it to the infinite in the main building from anywhere on the map where your boon is. You can't lose

Garden of Joy vs OG Haddonfield... Which is worse?

OG Haddonfield.
Garden isn't even that bad, it's issues are odd hitboxes on bushes, and a main building that's a bit too dark. Besides that, it has a strong main building, like many other maps. Even Dead Dawg can have near infinites but that's regarded as a fairly balanced map.

Eh, I think BHVR have to be credited for constantly outdoing themselves with poor maps because the new one is absolutely atrocious.

I'm not sure about that. Old Ormond is really a close contender. Also, Prime Cowshed is probably the worst thing ever. And it still is in the game.

Yes, I frequently stop to smell the randomly spawned plants and bushes that block my pathing and I love to pull out my Canon to take pictures of
all the ridiculous loops that connect to eachother-the scenery. Yes, the scenery is so amazing in the Garden0 -

It’s nice to look at but one of the worst offenders of map design. Just loading into this map as killer your chances of winning just dropped tremendously.
