Thing about Starstruck perk
I recently came back to dbd after a break and to nobody's surprise nurse still is at the top among all the killers while mostly she's running that starstruck perk. On the smaller maps and with her oppressive kit it's sometimes hard to avoid being shotted quickly by her. That's why, and it's only a suggestion by me I think that Starstruck shouldn't give an exposed status effect but instead grant the killer ability to one-shot survivors while carrying another survivor. On one way this perk would be certainly weaker but on the other side, it would gain a surprise factor since it survivors wouldn't have any notification anymore. I believe that by that change this perk would work as intended ( if i get that right) and by saying this i mean that this perk would punish body blocking the killer carrying the survivor to the hook. Do you think that change would be more healthy for the overall gameplay?

Sounds like a terrible perk you'd get value one time and you'll never down anyone again with it. Bodyblocking trying to hook is much less annoying and easier to deal with than regular chase bodyblocking

Well, certain solo q survivors can be oblivious to what has happened before. I admit this perk would mostly be a one-time value, but also it would possess instant endgame potential since certain perks combo allows you to move faster and have no penalty to attack all that while you carry a survivor you could know down an entire team of survivors. I think that possibility shouldn't be overlooked.

Starstruck itself is fine as a perk. The only problem is arguably Nurse who gets too much oppressive value out of it due to the speed of her power and the ability to go through walls. This is why people ask for her blink attacks to count as special attacks so that her blink attacks do not instantly down a survivor with Starstruck.

That would be another way to deal with that problem. I like that concept very much.

One-time value on instant down yes.
Survivors are too scared to do Gen while being Exposed, is the true value of the perk. Except Eruption does the job better.

The issue is Nurse, not Starstruck.
Exposed on Nurse is just too good and Starstruck happens to be the worst offender. It’s not OP on anyone else.

Starstruck is a good Backpack or Hook Walker perk. If you took away the oppression from it then it will be useless on everyone just to nerf it used on Nurse.
That’s not a good way to nerf perks because it’s op on a single killer. It’s like saying using Spirit Furry on Billy is op because he can build his stacks quickly. It’s not the same for everyone.
Hell Starstruck is useless on Myers because he doesn’t have a big Terror radius (0-12 meters), while on Wesker it’s amazing since his is the biggest in the game (40 meters).

Sooo gut the perk like ruin and thanat?

the size of terror radius doesnt matter for starstruck.

If it works on everyone inside your terror radius than in this case size is definitely important

it's only a problem on nurse otherwise it's a very meh perk

Exactly what I was going to say.

if your carrying someone and you have to hit a survivor to get the effect what benefit is a tr 12 meters out?

The exposed lingers for 30 seconds after you stop carrying the survivor which is why the TR thing is important imo
A nurse can get a hit on a surv in less than 30s and some other killers might be able to as well. Blight probably could but it doesn't work on his m2

ah ok, maybve they reworked it since i last looked at it or i forgot how it worked. i thought it was only for when you were carrying a survivor

no, this post was specifically a suggestion to make it only work when you're carrying a survivor

To deprive the nurse of Starstruck, simply reduce her TR to 1m when carrying a survivor 😃
