So is the games matchmaking busted?
Why exactly is it matching new killers up against 4 stacks, who've clearly have been playing the game for a long while? I mean...technically I'm a smurf because I played the game on PS4, and am just now switching to PC. But still...lol

The match making has always been pointless. Rank doesn't really matter....you Will get matches with whatever.
Wish they would just remove it.

I don't think they need to get rid of ranked, they just should get rid of rank reset, and de-pipping in general. It might be the same as no ranked but it at least would match people by how much time they've played more accurately. If you've played long enough to get to rank 1 as a killer and a survivor you've got a decent grasp of the game and it should pair you accordingly.... or maybe I'm just thinking into it too much.

Then how is it possible that a rank 18 killer verses 3x rank 1 and 1x rank 20 in a SWF for example. Thats proof enough for a busted matchmaking if you ask me

Anecdotal experiences aren't evidence. Also, you're referencing a SWF match, you are having different ranks playing with each other, the game has to pick someones rank, it picked the lowest person ie the rank 20 to balance around. I see no errors here.

No rank 1's are playing against new players unless they are doing SWF WITH a low rank in their group or they are purposefully de-ranking. Every single game has de-ranking in it, they just simply offer rank rewards to de-incentivize it. Nothing you have said shows any broken nature of the ranking system.
The ranking system is flawed but it does give a general idea of skill level. As I said before, a rank 1 game is completely different from a rank 20 game.

I switched to PC, I'm going to rank up just like I did on the PS4. But I'm also a new player on PC. Imagine someone who is just starting going against this sort of team. I'm a rank 1 killer on PS4, I know how to play. It just baffles me that it would take a killer with basically no perks who just started and places them against these types of players. Only reason they got killed is because they were overly altruistic which is the downfall of most swf. I can't swap to PC and instantly become rank 1 without going through the proper play sessions.

There should be an easy way to tell them apart in the games match making. It can also work in the reverse where I got my first taste of a fully perked out Hex Ruin, Nurses Calling, BBQ, Whispers Nurse with the purple blink add-on thing. She wrecked me, and every other survivor instantly because of the low ranks. I was actually surprised at how good the nurse was because she is pretty crap on PS4 due to the frame rate and no insta turns. The potato survivors didn't know how to work through Hex Ruin. It's the same thing that nurse shouldn't have been paired up with the brand new survivors to the game.

Not necessarily true. I have lots of tier 3 add ons for survivor but I still suck at it lol plus I'm a killer main so my rank reset and reset and reset without me playing all that often so I'm in the noob ranks but not by choice.
