I hate the borgo
This is one of the most flat map in the game, its not even dark, you can see the killer coming from miles away.
Its extremely hard to see survivor scratchmarks and blood pools as killer, and it feels like you see scratchmarks when there is none.
Even if they fix the pallet issue, this will still be just another unbalanced map that leans to survivor side
There are some big structures that are easy to loop for survivors even if they dont have a pallet or window, and makes it extremely easy for them to use it to make it to another loop without any kind of risk.
When you loop a pallet, there are random objects that obstructs your way that just feels out of place and shouldn't be there, like those spikes that just makes it harder for killer to catch up and extend the loop in favor of survivor.
Whoever at BHVR is in charge of map balance, please play killer more.
Let me give you a hindsight of the latest maps in the game release and see how every single one of them is nowhere close near balanced.
Shattered Square - Very survivor sided.
Garden of Joy - Very survivor sided.
Eyrie of Crows - Very survivor sided.
Raccoon City - Very survivor sided but a lot better after the rework.
Midwich - Very killer sided.
Dead Dawg Saloon - Very killer sided.
This does not feel like balance at all.
The only maps I considered really balanced in the game are:
Coal Tower
Rotten Fields
Father Cambell's Chapel
The rest either lean towards 1 side or another too much.

Same. I didn't think BHVR would be able to make a map I would hate more, but they managed to do it somehow. Not only the new map has bad gameplay, it also looks ugly and makes everything hard to see. Horrible map in every aspect possible.

It’s the perfect mix of bad visuals, map design and layout. It’s honestly impressive how long their streak of bad maps are
How can they seriously think a red filter over a map in a game where the main tracking tool is red is a good idea?

I was expecting a medieval map with a big castle as main building but it’s my fault for thinking BHVR would put in any effort

Once again the last added map I truly enjoyed was temple of purgation lol

The map looks sick in a good way, in my opinion. Burning village is not something I would have imagined but I love it.
I haven't had the (dis?)pleasure of playing on its live version yet though, so I'll trust you all that it's imbalanced.

There are 36 pallets.

It's horrific
Even when they fix the pallet issues, I may just go sit in the basement. It genuinely hurts my eyes, feels like Nightfall. The strain of trying to see clearly is just not worth it.
So that sucks.

I would have taken a castle any day but BHVR didn't want to put in the effort or release a Castle map yet.
The map is ugly in all aspects, balance, looks,it looks like an ugly Village, how is that nice?

They could've at least gave the map a hazy orange color like old Coldwind Farm had. That would've better than the harsh red we were given.

Well, for starters, red if my favorite color. And I like the esthetics of embers and fire. I think it's a super cool map because it fits the Knight so well. When you're playing survivor, you're a villager scrambling to run away from the squadron of dark knights that put your village through fire and blood. It's genuinely one of the coolest maps in that respect, in m opinion. It scratches a certain itch in me about DbD immersion.
(At the cost of a killer that takes me completely out of immersion on practically any other map, haha !)
I think a castle map would have been a bit boring to be honest. Another indoor square map like Midwich, with grey walls like The Game, a confusing layout like RPD/Lery and few props ? I don't think it would have been quite as nice esthetically. But that's only my opinion.
I do think once the balance gets adressed and maybe the scratch marks are tweaked a little on that map, it will be genuinely great. =)
