My personal opinion about...
The marketing tactic.
Dear BEhaviour if you wish those skin related with a festivity to be event limited exclusive Im fine with it.
The enterprise said that characters iri shard skins will be releasing batch and so those characters that have a new skin will be 4 weeks auric cells only and after that it will be with iri shards.
You clearly didnt noticed that Meg was one of those characters so the Meg skin of this event should be iri shards and people would be able to buy it with shards before you quit it from store till next year.
So just you to know that unless skins have Iri shards or 50% discount with aurics cells being original or 30% being licensed characters i wont spend a buck unless the skin you release find it real quality and I consider the enterprise to be doing its job.

Ok. They're just skins i don't understand why so many people are pulling their hair out and spewing essay post after essay post. BHVR makes them to sell them for money, if you don't wanna spend money don't spend money.

What if... you want to spend money but the thing you want to spend money on isn't available until 10 months later?

In that case you can use your money on something else or save it and buy it when its available.
It's like when McDonalds removed the McRib, and everyone was going to boycott them, and then no one did, and then any time the McRib is available people go nuts for it.
If the McRib is too old of a reference feel free to substitute whatever limited time fast food option you want, the KFC doubledown, the Wendy's bacon mushroom melt, or heck look at egg nog, i can never find egg nog in july we should all boycott all grocery stores until they offer egg nog in july, who's wth me?

I mean. There are many rift skins that are one piece only that i missed out because i started dbd late. For example david kings blue muscle shirt with "king" on it and it most likely will never be released. But its not like its the end of the world. There are other good cosmetics. Ppl need to just realize its just skins. No advantage or disadvantage of getting them.

The point is they wants to earn money from the outfits.
If they make the outfit always available, mean you can only buy them with Auric, never Iri. Because if they make you able to buy them with Iri, how can they earn money?
And isnt next year they will re-sell them with Iri? If you dont want to spend money at that time, it doesnt matter anymore, because you can buy them with Iri.

I really do not get why people are kicking up such a fuss about this. No-one's forcing you to buy them, you still get to keep Winter cosmetics post Winter if you own them, you can always wait until the next season to get them if you miss this year, and if it makes BHVR more money, good! Means they'll be able to buy more licenses and make more of this game that we love. I don't see the problem.

I don't understand why people don't want this game to succeed or the artist get paid for their work,who cares if they get paid or rich. doesn't that mean a better future for Dead by Daylight

Does it look like any of the money that comes from skins is directly going to improving the game? If they sell a thousand extra skins every release, are they going to use that to hire some more developers just for this?

Then say that then instead of tip toeing around the real issue.Peanutz comes here all the time.Its not hard to say hey I'm spending money and time in this game and I would like better improvement's.Most of the "improvements" are nerfs TBH.I would like a new mode 2 v 8 so me and my buddy Nemesis can team up, like I've asked for a directors mode?

that argument fails to work when comparing real goods to digital goods, because real goods have an opportunity cost of production while digital goods have no limit to supply.

Still want it now not tomorrow, you also picked an example that is in season right now. The person I responded to was specifically making reference to not being able to buy something immeadiately when they want it.
So just for you I will come up with an example that can apply without physical goods.
Your friend goes to see a movie in theaters and he tells you about it. You think the movie sounds great and wanna buy it, because your friend was at the last showing in the theater but you cant because you have to wait until its available.
Once upon a time that practice made sense because theaters used film reels and they needed to be converted for home usage and for people to buy physical copies.
However since almost all theaters now get movies digitally why do you have wait? Will you still want it in multiple months when it is available for purchase.

Maps... The spawns for: Killer, Survivors, Gens, Totems and Loops
Fixing all of the bugs... The Knight, Twins, Hag... ETC
The fact that Survivors want chases to happen but then cry when they are Tunneled
T-Bagging at the exit gates until a second before the EGC happens
