Pallet Stuns
Does anyone else have an issue with pallets stunning you even though your almost in the next map over? Lately I’ve been getting stunned even though I am back pretty far because I expected the drop, but still I get stunned. Maybe it’s lag on my side idk.

I think it's because of the way the devs have changed pallet hitboxes and pallet stuns. Used to be that you could swing at a pallet as it was getting dropped, and as long as you did it kind of late you'd just plonk the wood and not get stunned. Or you could swing through the pallet before it was fully dropped to hit the survivor AND get the pallet down. Now, if you're even close to the pallet at any point of it being dropped, instastun.
The stun hitbox has been increased like crazy. You can even step back, and yet still get stunned, basically forcing you to take the stun or else the survivor gets another go around, and that's the only way the pallet's getting thrown down. So now there's no winning with the advice you're given. It's either "Stop respecting pallets so much" or "Learn to respect pallets." The biggest thing about the big stunbox though is that there are pallets where you literally can't go through the walkway without getting stunned. The pallet inside near the back exit of East Wing RPD is one example, as were the pallets behind old Haddonfield's houses.

Well I’m glad to know it isn’t just me experiencing this.

Nobody's safe from it, even if they pretend to be. It wasn't always like that, as I said. Months ago maybe people would have complained about it regularly, but now it's just something we accept as normal. The new age pallet vacuum is still in the game as well.

Its pretty good to have the pallet stuns farther back since it helps with latency otherwise some people would get very little stuns.

It's really not because pallets are supposed to be a skill shot. But honestly they stopped being that in 2016 when they got massive buffs.
Once upon a time pallets did not stun until they were basically finished dropping almost. That gave you the choice : pre drop and be safe or drop and potentially trade a hit.
Overall it was a much better balanced state for pallets (let's not discuss the window issue from back then).

How can you say it's good? It's just stupid, because it has a big influence into the mindgames to make the survivor drop the pallet. If i have to stand (exaggerated) 2 m away from the pallet to avoid the stun, how should i bait the survivor to drop the pallet?
So many times i tried to bait an ambush to make the survs drop the pallet, but i got stunned because of this huge hitbox.
