Judith's Tombstone Needs a Major Change

Judith's Tombstone (Current)

  • Grants the ability to kill Survivors in Evil Within III.
  • Increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III by +200%.
  • Reduces the movement speed of The Shape while in Evil Within III by -9%.

Judith's Tombstone (Changed)

  • Grants the ability to kill Survivors in Evil Within III by either performing a basic attack behind them, or any of the grab interactions.
  • Increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III by +200%.
  • Reduces the movement speed of The Shape while in Evil Within III by -10%.

Reasoning

  • The current methods that Survivors have in order to circumvent the add-on's effects, especially when paired with Fragrant Tuft of Hair, are to perform any interaction and thus prevent The Shape from grabbing them, or to hide in lockers.
  • Due to the former, Survivors will optimally attempt to not repair any Generators and intentionally regress them, thusly both halting the progress of the game and removing the ability for The Shape player from getting their achievement, if that was their goal.
    • In essence, Survivors can simply hold the game hostage if The Shape wanted to get Evil Incarnate, and there would be little way to counter this.
  • Since The Shape already grabs Survivors with the main part of the add-on, he should just be able to completely kill them under any circumstance that allows for a grab.
  • This wouldn't prevent Survivors from being able to loop him conventionally, but it would make it inevitable that he will kill a Survivor.
  • This would also make Evil Incarnate go from a tedious and unfair achievement to an achievement that can be doable for players.
  • The add-on is an Ultra Rare on a character that doesn't care who he kills, he just does whatever he wants to kill people. Let it live up to it and the character's power.

This is not the change this addon needs. Both tombstone addons need to be changed from being able to kill survivors ignoring all hook states.

I think those addons should be removed from the game. They are not good whatsoever for the game health. Judith's Tombstone maybe should remove the stalk cap from survivors but it takes 50% longer to get from tier II to tier III. Tombstone Piece should give him aura reading within 6m from the survivors but he is 8% slower

  • so a 1% decrease in mvmt speed ( 3 stacks of pwyf give you 15%) is an appropriate trade of for making one of the most game breaking addons in the game almost uncounterable (counters: not letting him stalk up too quick/ just not die to an M1 killer)?

For the sake of removing extremely degenerative and exploitative "counterplay", this would be the best change it could have. Makes the gameplay for Myers more fun, the gameplay for Survivors more intense, and removes all the dullness of going against it.

So basically your only counters against this would now be:

    • Looping, and actually being good at it (includes vaulting and dropping pallets)
    • Not letting him gain his stalk (which is skillful due to using strategy to avoid him)

Judith's Tombstone should make you feel fear as Survivor and have fun from that fear. Not "oh he popped it, might as well go into lockers and not play the game".

I don't think Judith's Tombstone is remotely unhealthy for the game. Just the "counterplay" against it is. Judith's Tombstone is balanced in a way where it takes forever to earn it and it can be avoided by actually playing DbD like a hide-and-seek game. It changes the pace and makes it interesting.

Tombstone Piece, I don't care, it's meh in balance, but Judith's Tombstone is perfectly fine aside from how unfun the counters are to it.

So let me get this right, you want to be able to 1 shot every survivor and them to have 0 ways to counter myers, You want them to be "Good at looping" yet PWYF and spirit fury completely destroys this tactic. The add-ons need to be reworked.
