How I play Legion (wanting to help)
TL;DR will be at the end.
When survivors learned the best way to play was to rush down generators fast as they could so that the gates could be opened, which would give them the best chances of getting out alive.
To respond, killers focused on hook rushing, trying to down survivors and hook them up the fastest possible to lower how many survivors were working on generators and start getting kills quickly.
The Legion isn't exactly strongest at that. What he is strong at though is protecting generators, and I feel this is something many killers - myself included - forgot about.
Let me explain: Feral Frenzy takes four hits to down a survivor. One to apply deep wounds, and three to drain it to nothing (presuming the deep wound hasn't bled out at all) or three hits when running Frank's Mix tape and deep wounds study. However, when you first apply deep wounds to someone, it highlights the location of all survivors within terror radius, and each time you give a new survivor deep wounds, you will get a full charge on Feral Frenzy again.
So how do I play Legion? If it isn't obvious yet, I hit and run - I stab someone with frenzy, move onto the next one, and stab the very last person twice. After that, go back and kick the generator they were working on, and stab anybody who tried sneaking back onto it. Deep wounds keeps survivors off generators for a time, and that's the pressure you want - keep them off the generators.
After some time protecting the generators, you'll find a good triple gen set up - protect that and the end game becomes very hard for survivors to successfully get generators repaired. After time, their tool boxes, med kits and such will expire, and they'll begin to make mistakes. If you find that you can't close a chase quickly, disengage and go back to patrolling generators. Eventually you'll catch survivors who make sloppy mistakes during a chase and can be taken down with a standard attack, or a frenzy attack if you stalk them to where they're trying to mend their wounds.
Legion's power is not meant to be used to down individual survivors, but to cause chaos among groups of survivors. Bring discordance or other perks that will let you find groups of survivors easily and keep them from doing repairs. So long as you don't pursue chases that will take you for a loop, you'll find 0k and 1k games becoming 3k and even 4k if you're lucky. I've not gotten the most experience with Legion, only unlocking their first teachable today, but I've only had one game where I didn't get a single kill, only one 2k. The rest have been 3k and I achieved Adept Legion on my first game when they came to the public servers. If you focus on protecting generators rather than getting kills, you'll find survivors will eventually die quite easily.
Does that mean he's strong? ...No, it doesn't. He has his strengths, but he's clearly weak in chasing individuals. He does still need a few tweaks, but it is possible for him to be strong against groups of survivors if you play him well.
TL;DR: Don't chase people if you know you're going to get looped. Just go back and kick the generator and patrol them until you get a triple gen, hooking anyone you can successfully put into the dying state.

So you rely on survivors tripple-genning themselves.
What a great strategy that doesn't work on any other killer
Btw deep wounds only lasts 7 seconds and survivors can stop the gen from regressing, any other killer after you hit them will have them heal for 30 secs.

don't

its easy realy but super un-fun
1) deep wound a survivor or multiple if possible
2) break chase (wait for the music to change)
3) follow survivor without starting chase (don't look directly at them, use perks like blood hound or preditor to make it easy)
4) wait for deep wound meter to go down past 30% (or wherever the one hit point is depending on addons)
5) use your ability and down them (they have no way to counterplay a legion chaseing them)
6) keep doing this untill they nerf the anti-chase strat (because we know they will)
this is the most optimal way to play legion and you are basicly going to get atleast 2 kills every match
the perks i would recomend you use are
1) preditor or blood hound (to follow without chasing)
2) ruin (because ruin)
3) discordinence or wispers (to find survivors quickly)
4) enduring (because you should not respect pallets)
