What is the point of ranking up?

I'm wondering why i would rank anyone up beyond level 3 (after all perks are unlocked)? Also what is the point of the survivor grade? How do they match killers and survivors now?

Prestige ranks give you some cosmetics and charms up to 9, I think. There's not much reason to have it, but you'll get em naturally as you get addons or whatever from the bloodweb.

Grades reset every month on the 13th. Only reason to worry about those is to get a nice bloodpoint bonus on reset, up to 1 million BP each for killer and survivor if you get Iri 1.

Matchmaking is kinda it's own thing. We don't get to see our MMR. Escape a trial through the doors or get 3 kills+, your MMR goes up. Die in trial or get 1 kill - , your MMR goes down. It will try to match you with players in a similar bracket, but if there aren't any it throws in whoever's available. It's not a great system and pretty much everyone hates it.

    3-6 gives bloody cosmetics

    6-9 gives charms

past that is bragging rights + extra items/perks if you want them

As others have said, after 9 you don't really gain anything.

However, since you are forced to prestige once you've completed the lvl 50 of the bloodweb, if you want to keep playing a character you like and have cosmetics on, your items are going to run out eventually so you'll have to keep prestiging them.

That's part of why lobby dodging because of prestige is silly sometimes. Sure, a P90 has probably played the game a LOT and I understand the nervousness. But one of my friends is lobby dodging anyone above P5, when we're both P5 ourselves on our mains and still pretty terrible survivors. X)

I believe there is also a slight increase of rarity in the stuff you get the higher prestige you are but i'm not sure
