Cross-Progression
You probably have heard this hundreds of times but we need console to PC, the money is one side but that doesnt matter that much due to the constant sales (thx) but its the progression itself. i have 550 hours on ps5 and would rather not have that wasted. If this could be adressed on twitter saying it cant be done at least would be nice but please do something about this. Thank you

It’s not only up to BHVR but also the platform holders (Sony and Microsoft), and they would be missing out on money if cross Progression was a thing (DLCs, auric sales, online subscriptions)

They would loose lot of money because of cosmetics, auric cells etc... But cross progression would not take their money from base game and DLCs. Progression means that if someone got 100 prestige on ghostface on ps, and now would love to play on steam, it only means that ghostface would have all its cosmetics unlocked, have 100 prestige, but its locked untill ghostface DLC is bought from steam.
I think this would be fair approach.
You still needs to buy all DLCs and characters on different platforms, but unlocked cosmetics, prestige lvls, ranks, and bloodweb are share between platforms.

That’s not how cross Progression works in this game though, they already implemented and activated it on Steam, Stadia and Epic, purchases are shared as well.
also you have to convince Microsoft and Sony, not me. BHVR has stated many times they are aware it’s a community wish, so it’s not it’s pretty safe to assume Sony and Microsoft are the ones against it

I mean, other games like Fortnite have cross progression on all platforms, meaning if I log in any of the consoles version I would have all my progress and cosmetics I had in my account on PC and it is a F2P game. Taking in count the game already has crossplay I don't see any reason of why it shouldn't have cross progression unless BHVR managed the accounts for different platforms separately and unifying them would need an infrastructure rework (and that is like rebuilding a house from the ground up). That, or they use it as an excuse so you would have to buy the same DLC 3 times for 3 different platforms.
But seeing that the forum now lies on the BHVR page instead of a dedicated DbD, I think they are already working on doing that (unifying their accounts systems). It won't be a surprise that sooner or later you would need a BHVR account instead of an specific DbD account so they can save your progress on all platforms and such... I just won't expect it soon, tho.

I believe Fortnite, as with most other games, had Cross Progression deals in place when they were released to a platform. But DBD was just on Steam in the beginning, and it's success later allowed them to port it on over to the consoles, sadly with no Cross Progression in place. Much harder to negotiate deals later, ones that both Sony and Microsoft would agree to.

That is not true, even more, Fortnite didn't come with crossplay and was the first game to "implement it" the way we know it this day by accident.
Yes, the feature that now everybody expects in a multiplatform game was a bug. The key was that Fortnite, AKA Epic Games used their own account system and their own servers. What happened is that they made a mistake and matched PS4 and Xbox players in the same game (something that people noticed because some names had an underscore in it and IIRC that wasn't allowed in Xbox) and so crossplay was born, something that Sony was totally against at first (they only allowed to play with PC users at first)and took many time of popular demand and other companies doing it for them to allow it not only in Fortnite, but other games like Minecraft (fun fact, Nintendo and Microsoft made jokes about how Switch and Xbox player would be able to play together but Playstation players won't because of Sony not allowing it on twitter). So yeah, Fortnite didn't launch with crossplay, cross progression came later, and now is allowed by all platforms.
So, there is no reason for Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft being cool with crossplay but not cross progression, but I found something interesting while searching: https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-is-the-only-platform-holder-that-charges-for-cross-play-epic-ceo-claims/
So maybe is a little mix of everything: BHVR not wanting to pay Sony royalties for DLC not sold in PSN, they get more money for the same content as players have to buy it multiple times in multiple platforms, and they are using the native authentication systems of each platform and don't have the infrastructure to manage the linking of each platform account to their own "universal" one to keep progress or handle how each platform do DLCs (which again, would mean a total rework of that systems, which means lot of work and resources). Who knows... what I know is that it has nothing to do with the respective platform holders "not wanting them to do it".
