huge input lag on skillchecks no matter what

I play on pc and have played with both vysnc disabled and with it on. despite this I will always get a massive amount of input lag solely on skillchecks. I'll have to press way in advance to get a great this makes things like overcharge and unnerving presence really painful :(

    Same thing only I'm playing on PS5. Turned the controller off and back on, didn't help. Restarted the game, didn't help either. :/
