PC Basic attack possible bug?

For the last couple of weeks on killer I have been having a lot of issues with my basic attack lunge. Half of the time whenever I try to lunge it only comes out as a short attack and it this has kept me from getting guaranteed hits a lot of the time. I don't know what could be causing it or if it is actually a bug but I have never had this issue before. It seems like every other game this tends to happen. Sometimes I can lunge and other times I can't. I know it isn't an issue with my mouse because I can do generators just fine as a survivor by holding M1 and no other games give me an M1 related issue.
