My thoughts on the Nurse nerfs
As a resident Nurse hater I want to go over my opinions on the nerfs and whether or not I think they are good changes
So starting off Blink attacks are now considered special attacks. I’m actually kinda mixed on this change since it’s basically another band aid fix for her power. She can still just go through walls and hit you from far distances but now is limited to only non basic attack perks. This change was for the better though and maybe perks like starstruck and Awakened awareness can now be changed properly
Next is the sound cue. This change essentially does nothing except maybe for new players but they’ll just get destroyed by her anyway. It’s another form of “counterplay” that basically just tells you when the nurse is ready to hit you after about 3 seconds
As for add-ons I have no doubt most will be gutted and she’ll be left with only meme add-ons or gimmicks. This is for the best but again highlights just how broken even her base kit power is since no other killer has got this treatment. If you give a killer only 2-3 add ons that are actually useful that’s literally all people will use and nurse even showed this already with range/recharge. Mostly likely this will stay the same depending on what changes
Overall these changes are nice but nurse is essentially the same. All that will happen is we’ll see them run more general meta like eruption, CoB, overcharge and maybe more info instead of lethality like floods of rage or BBQ

As predicted, as long as my girl can blink over pallets, survivors won’t be happy.

Incorrect, as long as she's unique survivors won't be happy ~

I would be quite fine with that though. Stop create false arguments

This is a bit of a change and at least they dealt with her making use of perks like Starstruck as that was clearly plain BS.
But as a Nurse main I will say now to believe me that this is barely a nerf and it will not change much at all for those who are actually good with her and don't rely on broken addons now.
This isn't the nerf some people seem to think it is, it is a good start but honestly she could be nerfed further and eventually she will be.

Exactly. These changes are definitely a good step but still don’t get to the root issue. And tbh I seriously doubt this will affect her performance in any way besides starstruck being useless on her now
Let’s hope they keep an eye on her after the changes and see how it affects her

Like im happy for the special attack change, but it just sucks that the addons are likely going to be gutted as it already felt like a waste of time buying anything, but recharge or range cause the others suck so bad.

Dude.. If you concentrated that hate on something productive, you could achieve great things.

I don't think all of those nerfs were warranted. Definitely the special attacks, but the addons I'm less sure of. I mean, they could turn out interesting ? I like killers with varied effects that change their gameplay rather than just number tweaks. But since I can't play Nurse anyway, that only affects me so far as Nurses actually play them.
Nurse was already really fun to go against before (I'm very average at survivor, so I face average Nurses : rarely babies, but rarely sweats), so I guess it can go both ways. Either it'll add impredictability (like Hag with most of her purple and pink addons) or it will be "whatever" effects that will feel terrible to play and the lack of range will really hurt.
Either way, it should definitely feel better going against her in higher mmr.
I don't think removing part of her mobility (which, granted, is quite good as is) is the best idea considering she's rather slow ? Maybe she could get a haste effect when recovering her blinks ? Kind of like Soldier's Puttee for Huntress (which I genuinely cannot believe is pink btw). Or be able to walk forward when in recovery instead of being immobile.
Either way, the players who used to rely heavily on exposed perks and range addons will struggle for a while, but I don't think Nurse is down that bad. She'll likely still be a little stronger than most killers.

What these changes prove above all is that the developers do not understand anything about nurse.
Transforming the M1 into an M2? But what a brilliant idea.
That way, she won't be able to use Jolt, Sloppy butcher and/or K.O. anymore.
3 perks less. Let's see, what could we replace them with? With meta perks, of course!
Some people will say: "Yes, but you understand, they did this so that the nurse can't have any value with Starstruck!"
That's why, on this very forum, at least 478,540 times, it has been suggested that it would be MUCH MORE LOGICAL to remove her TR when she's carrying a survivor, and to replace it with a lullaby.
We delete Starstruck, but let her use little perks that aren't too bad.
(for NOED, I agree, but that, it was enough to remove NOED, I never understood why the developers of the game had created this kind of thing)

Just wanted to mention something about the sound cue since I seen lot of people thinking it's for the survivor know when nurse has her blinks back. Base on the wording in the dev post it's sounds more like it's for the killer and not survivors. It's more of a qol change for new players so they don't have to look at the corner of their screen to know when they have all their blinks back.
"Next, we’ve added a new sound cue when The Nurse has fully regenerated all her blink charges. This way, you’ll know when you’re ready to blink again without having to keep an eye on the corner of your screen."

You’re probably right actually. In that case it’s a nice change.

If we’re considering removing perks because of 1 out of 30 of the killers I don’t think the issue lies in the perks design rather that 1 killer in question
But no doubt this will stifle nurse’s perk variety which I agree does suck. And I actually don’t mind your idea but changing this now will free up the devs to make stronger perks that won’t become problematic on her

To increase the power of certain perks for [all killers except the nurse], another proposal was to turn the nurse's M1 into an M3.
M1 : normal move
M2: special attack
M3: Nurse's attack
In this way, it would have been possible to adjust the perks at will, to increase their power on the other killers, without the nurse being able to benefit from this increase.
The example I often gave was Jolt.
We could have imagined that if Jolt was triggered by an M1, it would impact the generators at a distance of 42m, as opposed to 32m if it was triggered by an M3.
You see, that kind of thing.
Because indeed, being able to buff certain perks without the strongest killers getting a monster advantage, I totally agree.

Dang, first noed now this. The cryvivors win again 😔.

Making nurse slightly weaker is hardly a win especially for those type of players

Shhh, enjoy the 2 days without nerf nurse threads. Oh wait, already complaints about it not being enough lol.
