The New Wiggle Mechanic!
That is all.

Can't wait to see how it will work with Boil Over.

Aren't great skill checks way harder to hit on console? I have to see how big they make them, because this might be another instance where console gamers get the short end of the stick. Again.

I have no problem hitting most of the great skill checks tbh.
Imo it's absolutely not that hard at all

I am kinda excitted for a softer sound when opting to not wiggle

This is the thing I am a bit worried about. IMO the 1 second shaved off if every great Skill Check was hit is nothing that warrants a change and the 20% stronger wiggle at base can be roughly the same. But paired with Boil Over and if there is some stuff lying around or doors which need to be passed, it can be more annoying than the potential of shaving off 1 second of Wiggle Progress.

True. I think the time being shorter was good, in the extent that it rarely did anything (at least for me) unless in a coordinated bodyblocking effort, which might have freed me regardless.
The bigger wiggles might be more annoying, or equate to the lost second, on indoor maps particularly.

I really hope there is an option to use the old wiggle system. I don't like the newer one and haven't used it at all since a week of its initial release, despite its 1 second wiggle advantage. Sure, I could get used to it but I'd rather spam A and D and chill with some downtime.

You just need to walk sideways alternating each side. It might get a couple runs of practice to get accustomed to, but the swaying ain't that effective. The hook aura hiding is what really might get you in indoor maps, or the fact that you might be forced to drop.

i don't get this either, why did they change the wiggle, did anyone ask for it or was it a hot topic for discussion? it seemed perfectly fine to me, getting 1 sec off the wiggle timer almost did nothing at all, it was barely noticeable as it was

I mean, I will test it today on the PTB with Base 20% and in combination with Boil Over. But I just think that the 1 second maximum wiggle reduction was not problematic to be removed, especially if you replace it with something that has the POTENTIAL to be more annoying.
WIll know more after testing, maybe it is not impactful at all and thats it.

The mini boil over effect I imagine, will be more annoying than the one second shaved off wiggle reduction.

But how many will test it with a controller? Who plays killer on Steam with a controller in the first place?
And us consolers can't even participate in the PTB, so if this makes the wiggle sway worse for us, we won't know for weeks and cannot even test it out.

I'm sure someone left feedback about it, but as for it being a hot topic? It wasn't.
This all came about after complaints of potential keyboard damage from spamming keys for hook struggle. This is when BHVR changed that mechanic.. which was another 🙄. One of the darkest days of my solo survivor career. **To be fair, they probably changed it because a lot of people were dying on hook a lot quicker than they are now... BUT STILL!
In any case, I'm guessing the devs just want to be a little more consistent with the other change, so here we are. I'm going to miss roleplaying my feeble wiggle attempts.

They're pretty easy to hit while wiggling. I'd say I hit them probably 80% of the time without trying.
