What if every basement is catered to which killer is present in the match?
Trapper: Animal Hides, Tools and Beartraps.
Wraith: Metal Junk, Heirlooms and Hanging Bells.
Hill-Billy: Television with his dead parents on the couch.
Nurse: Resting Ward with bodies covered on each bed.
Shape: A recreation of his first victim's room. (His Sister)
Huntress: Meat, Bones and Children's toys.
Hag: Mud everywhere and witchy stuff.
Doctor: Electrical Devices and a Shocking Chair.
Cannibal: Butcher Room.
Nightmare: Boiler Room.
Pig: Pictures of traps, televisions and a Jigsaw doll.
Clown: Carnival games and Circus posters.
Spirit: A traditional Japanese living room with broken glass and blood all over.
Legion: Teenager's hangout room.
Plague: Ritual Room with Fountains.
Ghostface: Redroom full of pictures and newspapers.
Deathslinger: A jailcell with random dead bodies of cowboys.
Pyramid Head: Looks like the actual bossfight room in Silent Hill 2.
Blight: Blighted Plants and Alchemy Equipment
Twins: Junk everywhere, hoarding style.
Trickster: A music studio and a hanging body covered in cuts.
Nemesis: A Umbrella Lab.
Cenobite: Torture devices.
Artist: Ink everywhere but with a few properly painted canvases.
Onyro: A Damp Well.
Blight: Dark room, looks like an abandoned bedroom.
Wesker: CTV Security Monitors and Research Papers with Virus Canisters on top.
Knight: A little something from each member of his group. Like a mini sized Tavern.
Edit: Oh I forgot about Oni, uhhhh. His basement gets a Dojo.

A nice idea, but imo they should just get rid of the basement. It's a relic from when every hook that wasn't in the basement could be permanently destroyed and was a last chance shot for the killer. These days, you very rarely ever get hooked in the basement unless it's an insidious camping bubba/ghostface/Michael. Most killers I play against tend to even walk past the basement and favour the hooks outside the shack.
