New merciless killer changes
They are changing merciless victory for adept challenges to 4 kills equals merciless victory. Is that for all games or just challenges? Also does that mean 12 hooks 4 dead survivors merciless victory 2 pips. And then 1 hook 4 dead still a merciless victory and a 2 pip game with less game play with the same result? Thanks

The change is for all games. Based on the wording, it sounds like the post-match rating ("the entity hungers" to "merciless killer") is based on kills, while pips are based on emblems as before. In other words, I believe it will now be possible to get "merciless killer" and not double-pip.

Correct, they are finally making it so you aren't punished for using a killer's power. Like OhTofu has been doing a series of getting killer Adepts (mostly at Iridescent I) and he had to try Bubba like six times because he wasn't camping or anything like that, but because of how quickly Bubba downs survivors, he couldn't get the chaser emblems without playing Bubba as an M1 killer. Which is dumb. Same issue with Myers and such can happen. Also Ghost Face and even Pig can be hard because of how you can end a game very quickly. So now, you will just have to get a 4K, same as a survivor just has to escape.

Oh I though they changed pipping system as well. It would been nice to double pip with 4 hooks and 4K. Though 11 hooks and 3K would be then only give one pip eventhough that is probably more skillful...

When is this change supposed to go into effect?
I just did a 4K with Clown and only his 3 unique perks, no add-ons or offerings, and I did not get the cheeve. The last survivor was hooked only once, as he had eluded me the entire match, as was the second to last, since he was on the hook waiting for the last to save him.
I went to look into how to get adept, as I am relatively new, and found the old reqs and decided I should stop wasting my time, until I saw this post. Here's hoping this change is made soon!!!

I don't think pipping with be attached to the type of victory you get anymore. I obviously don't know but I'm assuming pipping will solely be based on emblems.

Color me surprised! I just got Adept Doctor! Granted, I realize he's probably not one of the harder ones to get under the old (current) rules, but I was surprised that I got 2 pips, esp having such a dismal session so far (5 matches: 1/3 surv escapes, then only 1/8 hooks). I had hooked the last guy 2x before, and I wanted to find the hatch to close for extra points, but he crawled away and I lost track of him, bleeding out.
