So this began originally as my attempt to create a better killer than the Legion. As you can see I kinda got carried away, so I turned it into a fan made chapter. Let me know what you think and what I could improve on. Thanks!

Dead by Daylight: Shadows of War

War is a grim reality to face. It can tear minds and break the unbreakable. Monsters can form both in your head and in front of you.

New Killer

The Fallen:

Journal Entry:
A new evil lurks through the fog. I noticed his uniform first, or rather what was left of it. A soldier, or at least he used to be in a past life. But now he hunts people he had sworn to fight for. The intense burns all over his body and furious gaze in his eyes appalled me. Something monstrous has consumed him. It is disconcerting to know that not even our strongest are incorruptible...

Physical Description:
The Fallen is a large, muscular man with severe burns and deep cuts to the right side of his face, neck, torso, and right leg. His right eye is bloodshot and all that remains of his right ear is torn pieces of flesh. His once proud combat uniform is nothing more than a large, burnt rag hanging on his left side, and his right pant leg has been partially burned off. His bulletproof vest is badly burnt on the right side and he is missing his helmet. The Fallen wields a bloody, ammo-less assault rifle. Without ammo, the rifle becomes a club to bludgeon his victims.

Gameplay:
The Fallen’s ability is called Unleashed Fury. Unleashed Fury allows him to sprint forward and ram through pallets that have been pulled down, destroying them. Ramming through pallets does not slow him down. Hitting a survivor while in Unleashed Fury causes them to be affected by Concussion. Concussion will cause the survivor to be disoriented, meaning they will run slower with their vision blurred for an amount of time. Unleashed Fury needs to be charged up before it can be activated, similar to the Hillbilly’s chainsaw. Unleashed Fury has a cooldown timer of seven seconds that counts down the moment it is deactivated. When out of Unleashed Fury, missed attacks, stuns from pallets, and blinds from flashlights cause frustration. Frustration partially fills your charge and temporarily shortens the charge up time. The Fallen has a movement speed of 105%, making him a relatively slow killer that is easy to evade, but difficult to escape.

Perks:
Know Your Enemy - At the start of the trial, all survivor’s auras are revealed to you for 4/6/8 seconds.
“Somehow, he knows how you think. He can predict your next movements before you even think about it…” - Unknown

High Priority Target - One survivor is chosen as the Obsession. When the Obsession is being chased, Bloodlust activates sooner than usual. Bloodlust doesn’t start decreasing if the Obsession escapes for 8/10/12 seconds. If the Obsession is sacrificed or killed, all remaining survivors suffer a 20%/40%/60% decrease in repair, healing, searching, cleansing, and sabotaging speed.
“Hunting for his target, he grows relentless.”

Steady March - When carrying a survivor, you are unaffected by their struggling by 20%/40%/60% and your movement speed is increased by 5%/10%/15%.

Memento Mori:
When performing a Mori, the Fallen steps on the survivor with his left foot, pinning them down, and proceeds to swing his weapon down on the survivor’s head three times. In the third and final swing, the Fallen lifts his weapon high in the air before swinging down harder than the first two. The survivor’s head splatters with blood and the skull can be heard cracking. The survivor does not stop screaming until the final swing. The Fallen’s view of the Mori is in first person, while the survivor is in third person.

Lore:
Wesley Rogers was born into a harsh life. His mother was an alcoholic and his father was a cruel, abusive man. At school, Wesley would lash out, starting fights with other students and even teachers. Everyone grew afraid of Wesley and many went out of their way to avoid him. With no friends, he grew up lonely, isolated, and alienated. He felt as if he never truly belonged anywhere. Between the loneliness at school and the beatings at home, he was teetering on the edge. But everything changed when an military recruiter visited his high school one day. A promise of belonging and purpose filled Wesley with hope. When he turned eighteen, he enlisted in the Marine Corps to escape his terrible home life and hopefully find meaning. Basic Training was difficult but Wesley prevailed and joined the ranks of the United States Marines. The Marine Corps had set him straight and for the first time in his life, Wesley had friends, a sense of belonging, and a group he could call family. Wesley saw three years of active service before a night that would change his life forever.
Returning to base after a mission, Wesley was riding in a small convoy. Suddenly, the truck that Wesley was riding in exploded. It had run over an IED. All of the occupants were killed but Wesley, somehow, clinged to life. The convoy had come under attack by radical forces and had no choice but to leave behind their dead and dying. When Wesley regained consciousness, all he could see were all of his closest friends; burned, bleeding, and lifeless. Something inside of Wesley snapped. It could no longer be contained. A dark force took over, giving him the strength to ignore the pain caused by his explosive burns and shrapnel cuts. When the radicals came to salvage what they could, Wesley was waiting for them. By the time he ran out of bullets, only two barely managed to escape. Driven by fury and madness, Wesley chased after them. He limped through a dark desert for almost two hours before stumbling upon a small village. The villagers were horrified at the sight of a mangled soldier. But they knew he was an American, and they were willing to help him. As a woman rushed to his side, medical supplies in her hands, Wesley felt no warmth or comfort in the presence of good people. Only rage.
When a recovery team was dispatched, the team was stunned to find dead radicals lying all over the place. Even more confusing was that all of the dead soldiers were accounted for, except for Wesley. They searched the area for days before stumbling upon an abandoned village. The team was horrified to find that most of the townspeople had been brutally murdered. Men, women, and children, all bludgeoned to death. Many of the bodies were found cowering in their homes with their front doors broken into pieces. Everyone at the base had their own theory, but no one suspected Wesley. Those who thought they knew him believed he was incapable of performing an act so monstrous. After two months of searching, the base eventually added Wesley Rogers’ name to a growing list, labeled “the Fallen”.

New Survivor

Jordan Baldwin:

Journal Entry:
It is easy to recognize the characteristics of the armed forces. Once in a blue moon, you do encounter a few here in the fog. Often, they are more daring than most survivors, willing to do whatever it takes to survive. Most soldiers look out for themselves, but one man caught my admiration. He dove in front of a young woman as a rusty cleaver was about to come down on her. The pure valor to sacrifice oneself is unfathomable. I do not know if he survived the trials, but I do wish him the best of luck in this never ending nightmare.

Physical Description:
Jordan is a muscular young man bearing a desert camo combat uniform, a worn bulletproof vest that has been slashed by multiple weapons, and silver dog tags hanging around his neck. Jordan has dark brown hair that’s been given a crew cut, a cleanly trimmed beard, and dark brown eyes. Despite his outfit, Jordan lacks any sort of weapons and is missing his helmet.

Gameplay:
A dauntless veteran, rewarding teamwork and self sacrifice.

Perks:
Squadron - Everyone is essential to the mission. Each remaining survivor provides a 2%/4%/6% movement speed boost to you and whoever is left for 25/30/40 seconds once the Exit Gates are powered.
“No one is expendable. We’re gonna need each other if we want to get outta this.” - Jordan Baldwin

Take the Bullet - If someone has to take a hit, it should be you. For every hit you take protecting another survivor, a token is added. Each token increases your chances of pulling yourself off of a hook and escaping a bear trap by 2%/4%/6%. Maximum amount of tokens that can be earned is 4.
“I’d rather die protecting good people, than live being a coward.” - Jordan Baldwin

I Got You - You have their back and they have yours. An auditory alert is given and the killer’s aura is revealed to you when they are within a 22/34/46 meter radius. Any survivors within a 6/8/10 meter radius also gets an alert and sees the killer’s aura.
“I got you. Just watch my back and I’ll watch yours.” - Jordan Baldwin

Lore:
When Jordan Baldwin was twelve, he knew he wanted to be a marine. His parents weren’t too keen on the idea, but they were willing to humor him as they figured he would eventually grow out of it. But as Jordan grew, he trained hard and worked hard until the dream was ready to become a reality. Against his parents’ wishes, he enlisted in the Marine Corps when he turned eighteen. Basic Training was a difficult ordeal. The sergeants were brutal and the drills were just as bad, if not worse. But Jordan persevered, and on graduation day he stood amongst his peers, proud and ready to serve his country. But graduation was also a bittersweet day. His parents and little sister were so proud of him, but were also terrified at the thought of him not coming back. With a soft smile and a warm hug, Jordan assured them he would return home. But even he knew it was a promise he couldn’t keep.
After 3 years of service, his contract was almost complete. However, one night his squad had to post up in an abandoned village. An uneasy feeling had swept through the entire squad. Everyone knew what had happened there, and many were wary, keeping an eye out for a rogue soldier. Jordan was tasked with setting up a perimeter. As he patrolled, he spotted movement off in the distance. He radioed in with his squadmates, but after receiving no response, he bravely approached. Soon, Jordan was surrounded by a dark fog that both baffled and awed him. But in his distraction, he failed to notice the large, monstrous claws reaching down for him until it was too late.
Jordan opened fire on the claws, but the bullets did nothing but ricochet. His rifle fell from his hands when he was quickly and violently snatched from the ground. Jordan punched at the claws, thrashing and kicking in vain to free himself, moving so violently that his helmet slipped off his head and pistol out of its holster. Even after the claws carried him into the fog, Jordan continued to fight with all his strength. But there was no escaping this.
When Jordan awoke, he was no longer in the desert. His body lay upon dried leaves and when he took in his surroundings, a dark, looming forest met his gaze. Screams of both fear and agony echoed through the forest. Shaken but unfazed, Jordan prepared himself for a new war. What ever awaited him, he was ready for every second of it.

New Map

Maladh

Lore:
Once a quiet village, Maladh was a tough, yet simple place to live. The locals were hard working and good folk trying making the best out of a country being torn apart by civil war. But everything changed when a wounded stranger entered their village. Now the village is lifeless. Abandoned cars left awaiting owners that will never come. Houses that once provided refuge from the war have been broken into with their walls and furniture splattered in blood. If anyone survived the massacre, they will not be returning for a very long time.

Village Center
Layout:
Village Center consists of a small cluster of residential houses made from clay bricks. There are 7 houses in total and only two houses are two stories, making them the largest houses in the village. All houses have their front doors broken down. At the center of the village is a small store. A dirt road passes through the village with a few abandoned cars lining it, providing cover for those caught out in the open. Small rock walls also provide cover around the village but can be reached over by the killer. Generators can spawn in the houses and out in the street. Pallets aren’t plentiful in this map, but vault spots are more common than usual. There are few trees and little foliage on this map. The basement can spawn in one of two of the large houses in the village.
