Need tips for countering the dredge
Recently i’ve gone against quite a few dredges and they feel impossible to counter. So for example if i’m looping and i see them set up a portal, i hold w and before i get anywhere they catch up but if i stay they teleport and down me and it’s even worse for nightfall when they set up a portal and i don’t see it because it’s too dark. is there anyone that’s good against the dredge that can give me some tips because from what i see everyone just says “hold w” but that hardly works because of how fast he can catch up

no you pretty much have the right idea. leave the loop when he drops his ghost, be mindful of lockers, etc. Try to take loops in a way where if the dredge tries to use his power you would be able to connect a different tile safety. This won't work against smart dredges tho

As someone who likes playing as Dredge, yeah; leaving a loop the moment you see the Remnant placed is your best bet. The Dredge will either have to commit to the teleport (which might not be a good idea on some maps) or cancel it and try to catch back up. During your escape from that loop, maybe try to find an area away from lockers since it removes use of half the power. Also remember that Dredge moves at 4 m/s when charging it's power, so it's a decent window to gain distance.
As for the Nightfall part... yeah there isn't much to be done there.
