Eruption and Incapacitated.

Ok so I don't usually come to the forums for anything and when I do, it's usually because i'm reporting a bug, very rare that I make complaints on perks themselves, the last perks that I had the biggest issues with were Old Dead Hard, Old Decisive Strike (when it was known as Obsession Decisive and before that), and Old Mettle of Man, but those were taken care of.

I rarely ever complain about Killer perks myself since I mainly play killer the most whenever I play dbd so I can understand that Killer's need some gen perks to help them out a little bit.

Some gen defensive perks are not that big of a deal to go against that most Survivors/Players make out of it like Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance/Dead Man's Switch combo for example since that has reliable counterplay and Survivors can learn to react to it.

Now to the main purpose of this topic, Eruption.

Ok for most cases there probably can be times where Survivors could "maybe" react to it if it's against a killer that can make some loud noise and be like "ok their going down let me stop repairing". What I mean by "loud noise" for example, if it's an Oni while in Demon Dash or Nurse Blinking, maybe and a big fat maybe they can react to, or if you are running perks where you can see both the Survivor's and Killer's Aura, or if they are about to get downed in front of you. But about 95% of the time there is no way of knowing whether if a Survivor is going to go down or not, So the fact that this perk for the majority of the time is uncounterable and not having any sort of information of if it's going to activate is completely absurd, it's not even the gen regressing part I have an issue with, it's the fact you get afflicted with Incapacitated and have literally nothing to do for the next 25 seconds.

Most people think that "Incapacitated" should be removed but I think the idea of it is ok but only in certain scenarios.

Like with the Twins when Victors is attached to you and for that time you are Incapacitated, which that is fine.

I have another idea of applying Incapacitated, maybe with the Doctor when you are in Tier 3 Madness, or with the Pig if you have a Reverse Bear Trap on because at least with these, you have something to do and not just standing around for a short period of time and not interacting with the game at all.

I thought of some ideas that can make this perk less annoying to go against.

I think keeping the gen regressing effect ok, but maybe do one of these few things:

A: Make the Incapacitated Effect down to like 12 seconds or something, shortened the duration by a ######### ton.

B: Giving Eruption a longer cooldown, maybe like 60 - 80 seconds since it can be applied to multiple generators.

C: Get rid of the Incapacitated Effect completely and replace with an Entity blocking effect, have the Entity block the effected Generators, but still give it a longer cooldown and shortened duration nonetheless. With this effect, if it were a thing, at least Survivors can do something within that time.

Point being, please just do something with this perk as far as Incapacitated goes because right now it is the most unfun perk to go against at the moment and it's just annoying, not saying Eruption is Op or anything, but just either give counterplay for Survivors, or make it less effective.

Once again, this topic is coming from a killer main.
