What's up with the "limited" cosmetic uproar?

I've never been a big defender of BHVR however the base game is cheap and has been free multiple times. Chapters are cheap and go on sale frequently. Many cosmetics are available with in game currency. The rift pays you back what it costs if you complete it. If BHVR wants to try to make some money on limited time cosmetics just let them.
