We have temporarily disabled Firecrackers and the Flashbang Perk due to a bug which could cause the Killer's game to crash. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch when the issue is resolved.

Addressing the most common issues the community has in dbd.

The current issue within the community are: camping, tunneling, swf too strong, solo queue too weak(in comparison to swf), killers a and game outcome in general too map reliant. Here is a proposal what kind of direction the trails could take to address all of these issues.

My idea is why not make the game much slower and harder for survivors when all 4 of them are alive and no hooks are achives. Then make it much easier for survivors as less survivors are alive and more hooks are achieved maybe even exponentially easier with each survivor that dies this way tunneling wouldn't really have a point and killer would try to go for 12 hooks and only kill ppl when everyone in on last hook essentially encouraging 12 hook plays. I have some suggestions how that could happen but I think if the game design staff would all decide to track down on this idea they might find an even better solution. Maybe gen/action speeds altered depending on survivors alive or like if all survivors are alive you need 2 survivors per gen minimum or do something with the speed of killer and survivor there definitely are options, but it would require a fundamental change of the trail which is a lot of work but can defined make the game more playable at all levels for all killers and both type of survivors solo or swf. Essentially make the trails to be more about killers and survivors interact without the fear of camping or tunnelling or the fear of holding w until all gens are done cuz that wouldn't work if the game if much more harder for survivors while all 4 of then are alive and no hooks are achives only the top survivors can outplay the killer and win with a 4 man escape and minimal hooks and not some BS map rng but for weaker survivors if they die too fast the game becomes exponentially easier for them so they can fell like there is a way to come back from the situation. This system will be based on the hooks achieved by killers compared to the NO. of survivors alive, hooks achieved and the gens that are done. You can make it so at the very beginning survivors have to work on gens together and the speed of gens is also changed to be more like 2 survivors on gen is the same speed as 1 on gen since you can't just have 1 on gen and after like 4 hooks survivors can work on 1 per gen again but after 1 kill the gen speed go faster like depending on the numer of gens left as fast as they are in the current game or even faster if a lot of gens are left or maybe do it the other way where the gen speed is to do with hooks and NO. of ppl per gen is for kills you can also maybe have it so if 1 or 2 survivors are hooked the killer and survivor movement speed changes so survivors have movement speed of killers when 2 ppl are hooked or give survivors a speed boost the closer they are to a hook and that speed boost is dependent also on how many are currently hooked. You can also have it so for the first gen you must have 3 survivors on a gen and the speed is like 2 survivors on gen but after then first gen is done then do the changes I proposed above. This kind of rework for the trails should allow for killers to feel like they have to avoid camping or tunneling otherwise the game becomes too hard and can also give solo survivors as much information as swf as it wouldn't be as game changing as it is rn and will alow for designing more unique maps which maybe couldn't have worked in the past due to the game rn having a big reliance on the maps depending on the killer that is played and the type of survivors playing solo or swf. Obviously not all of these changes have to be added together and some numbers might have to be changed but the idea in general addresses all the issues. It will also require some perks to be changed due to some being stronger in this scenario while others will be weaker so a full perk review should also be looked at.
