Make the game more fair for survivors

How is it when survivors want to bless a totem the killer can see the blue aura or whatever it's called and even hear the totem and us survivors we need to search really close for the totem? How is it that survivors need to take such a long time to even bless a totem and a killer can destroy it in 1 sec? When the killer has hex perks us survivors need to look really close for the totems, so it would be fair if it goes both ways.

while I generally fully agree, most killers go with the opposite arguments and outright ignore what OP said. Given this there's so many nerf boon threads. Which is kind of sad, because if we don't count some specific killers (hit & run wraith/onryo, twins, mirror meyers), then boons are about just as likely to help killer as they are to help survivor (knowing the spot and downing multiple people on same spot, survivors not "genrushing", being not healed for extended time because can't get to boon, ...)

Do you mean the Blue Fire on the totem because if not Killers can't see the Aura or the Dome that a Boon creates only the sound. It takes Survivors longer because Boons in a game sense Boons shouldn't exist in the Entity's world sense they bring something beneficial in.

But survivors have a easier time finding Hex totems because they can look 360° around them allowing them to spot totems over walls behind bushes etc while Killer is a first person perspective so without the tone they could easily walk by the Boon

The stupid sound occlusion had me looking in all the wrong spots for literally a couple minutes yesterday in a match. Just like you said, killers can't see the blue aura or the dome, and the sound occlusion in this game can make the audio clue more confusing than helpful for finding the damn boon.

Not the way I thought this post was gonna go. There is literally nothing wrong with boons. Sure they are easy to find and snuff but unless killer is running shattered hope (literally no killer ever) then you can just reset them.

Yes hexes are harder to find. But once they're gone, then it's permanent and killer basically loses that perk for the entire match.

Claiming the game is not fair to survivors by complaining about literally one of many things survivors have an asymmetrical advantage: Totem functionality. Cool.

    From another comment I did:

Killer can hear them because unlike survivors they don't have any other way to locate a totem that is not an Hex, no killer perk gives totem aura reading like the map for example, survivors can choose where to place their boon so they can choose the most hidden and far apart totem to bless, and of course snuffing the totem doesn't deactivate the survivor perk allowing him to basically just relit it over and over again until he is out of the game.

"So it would be fair if it goes both ways" Sure, remove the sound cue of Boons and let the killer place and relit Hexes as many times he wants plus some ways to see totem's auras. That would be fun.

PS: Killers can't see the "blue aura", only hear the sound effect.
