Eyrie of Crows 3-Gen
so i played a game on this map the other day nd we ended up in a 3-gen situation as shown in the image. is it just me or are these gens a bit too close to each other? or is it our fault as a team for letting this happen? just curious bcos we basically gave up after we saw this haha. also i think the killer was the huntress but i could be wrong, thanks!

I agree the 3 gens on this map are a bit good, it's a large map but considering about a 1/4 doesn't have any objectives (behind main) it really isn't. Maybe a good idea to push the gens more towards the edges to help create space or make the map generation a bit more careful to space them out?

Don't know what is going on but this is happening more frequently in recent times, especially on the new reworked maps (rpd and Haddonfield too).
Making realms smaller is leading to a situation when avoiding a 3gen is pretty tough, particularly if the killer decide to not move from there

On the other hand you have very large maps with an extremely low pallet density. I think a balance between size and pallet density is important in order to give lower tier killers a chance while giving survivors enough ressources and still avoiding 3 gens to be too tight

Some of these maps are getting too small, hell fought knight just now, we got into a 3 gen (solo be fun) and he just kicked gens. With call of the brine and eruption. I kind of just gave up because the match was taking forever.

Some people will say that it is your fault, however, I have played two games on new Eyrie where the Killer (1 Knight and 1 Nemesis) did refuse to go out of the 3-Gen Area at all. If the Killer really wants to defend their 3-Gen from the start, there is not really anything the Survivors can do. Sure, they can 99 the other Gens, but this does not help because for the escape it is irrelevant if 4 or 0 Gens are done.
As already written by @Gamali , this is a common occurence on reworked Maps. IMO they should either settle for shrinking the Maps OR moving Objectives closer together, but not both. (If they feel they need to do it of course)

I don't have anything. I play regularly both sides and It doesn't take a genius to realise that the rework of this map is a mess.
Tiles are even more chained each other, huge dead zones, frequently 3gen and the beyond of the main building is totally useless except for the annoying boil over abusers because there are no hooks in proximity (those in the basement are the closest)

Tbf there's a few 3 gens like this I've noticed. And since the update a few gen postions have changed.
Rpd, haddon field and dead dawg all have super tight 3 gen setups that are mad easy to defend. Be way to avoid 3 genning is getvthe dangerous central gens done early and split the map. Then make sure to work both sides.

Yeah but we are not facing bots. The killer goes straight into the strong 3 gen and there isn't much that can be done call of brine you know

eyrie 3 gen spawn can be handle at least. The rpd 2 gen spawn in the lobby is just nasty work (Literally 3 steps away from each other). follow by a third gen that also super close but not as ridiculous

It's easier to break early in the game if you recognise killer is doing that. But not that easy. Needs swf level coordination, although potential energy has an interest use there. Not that anybody runs it.

As a killer main, I don’t intentionally 3 gen, but sometimes it ends up that way because of who I’m playing against. Some of the survivors are pretty dumb.
if i ever do intentionally do anything it’s because of a challenge I’m trying to complete - be it achievements, dailies, or tomes. The rest of the time i just lumber through a trial.
personally i feel like the 3 gen issue is meant to punish survivors that play too safe early on. Because, sure, you did all the exterior gens and that’s great, but how are you going to get the interior gens now?
in most maps you can check for yourself one of the 3 closest gens will be near the killer shack or near the main building. If there’s a 3rd main structure tile that moght also hold a 3 piece gen (combine on cornfield) but regardless killer shack should be safe enough to get the gen as long as basement isn’t there. Same for main building. If both gen and basement spawn then the 3 gen area is likely opposite.
point is - killers can’t actually camp the 3 gen area unless you let them. Because there are too many ways to disrupt a killer’s playstyle when they camp. Maps are good for beating 3 gen strats as well as many perks that do auras for gens and killers.
if you as a survivor feel like you’re getting into 3 gens more often try bringing some anti 3 gen perks and changing your playstyle to compensate.

It's...fine. You need to make sure that at least one of those 3, preferably 2 of them get done early.
Unless the killer is doing nothing but patrolling and defending those 3 from the match start, that's unfortunately a team error.
Call of Brine...just tap it and it's gone.
If a killer is staking out a 3gen early, you need to try and get them into a chase while your team works on the gens.
If they refuse to chase, and are literally just going to stall the game - that's close enough to a hostage situation that it's worth a report.
It's a map with some advantages for killer (strong 3gen potential, some pretty mean hooks) and some advantages for survivor (crazy safe loops, tons of good pallets, a very strong main structure).
If you want to make gens a lot safer, you'd need to weaken some of those pallets.

Agreed. The devs need to do something about it. Gens are spawning too close together
