Been getting frame drops or lag spikes in game for about 2 or 1 year

I have uninstalled and re installed even going on the lowest setting. My pc is able to handle dbd and should not have any problems. I dont lag or have frame drops in any other game but dbd gives me problems. i have asked so many friends on what to do and im getting desperate again. i think i asked before without knowing what to call the problem but now knowing what it is being frame drops and not lag spikes i think. it angers me whenever it does bec its when i get a hit on someone or i get a skill check sometimes but its like an action that causes the frame drops.

    Well, not that easy to answer tbh.

    the obvious stuff first, trying to reinstall the game, check game files, make sure drivers eg for graphic card are up to date, maybe fresh windows install. Which input are you using (controller, m&k, wired/wireless) - try wired M&K and see if the problem persists, make sure to not have any other input devices connected or even software running in background that might cause smallest of performance issues.

    are you sure it’s something only you are affected by though? Frame drops happen here and there for everyone, DbD isn’t perfectly optimized even on pc.
