The most disheartening thing I see in games.

Just a disclaimer, or like, a heads up really, this is from the killers perspective as I only really play killer. Anyway, the most disheartening thing I'll see in games is a survivor selling out another survivor and trying to work with me. Say I'm chasing this survivor, I hit them once and they go to a locker and open it, there's another survivor in the locker that they opened and they intentionally do that so I'll go for the other person and leave them alone for the rest of the game. They nod, teabag at me, point at the locker to try and get me to open it, just being all around obnoxious and trying to sell out their teammate for absolutely no reason. Whenever I see this happen, I instantly down the person who tried to sell out their teammate, there's genuinely no reason to do stuff like that. And for good measure I nod at the person who's in the locker and just leave, if they're the last survivor I'll give them hatch as well.

Like genuinely why do some survivors do stuff like this? I actually saw a video for someone recording themselves doing it, there doesn't seem to be a reason other than "HAHAHA I'M TROLLING" which isn't much of a reason. It's always disheartening to see stuff like this happen, it's just kind of sad really. Luckily this doesn't happen a lot, it does happen semi often (usually once every couple games for me), but I'm glad this doesn't happen all the time. Like do people really need to sell out their teammates to win in a video game? Just seems lame to me. Like if you're gonna get your teammates killed why don't you just play killer?

The locker thing is just a general example btw, only has happened to me once, usually the rat will intentionally lead me to someone on a gen or doing any other task, then try to sell them out, just wanted to put this here at the end to avoid confusion.

Not to endorse that behavior or anything, but it might also be that the locker guy hasn't done literally anything other than hiding in lockers and waiting for the last guy to die.

In which case the chased survivor might be annoyed and at least wants to ensure the other guy doesn't get to escape.

It's a tough one. If the person has been hiding in a locker all game doing nothing and waiting for hatch, then they absolutely -should- be sold out by their teammates.

However, if they're just actually hiding because the killer is nearby then yeah it's douchey to sell em out and I'll usually just kill the rat.

The locker thing was more of a general example to make it easier to understand. That only happend to me once, most of the time a survivor will lead me to another one intentionally, say if they're doing a gen, or really any other task. Then they'll point at the other survivor, teabag, try to make me go for the other survivor, you know the drill.
