he is the killer i love to play the most but he also has big problems depending on the map, in many of these the number of lockers is negligible or they are very badly positioned and unfortunately it affects his style of play too much

I do agree with that. Locker placements can destroy you sometimes :/

I wholeheartedly agree. He's got huge map pressure, he's great at jumpscaring during nightfall, and his power is actually interesting as anti-loop!

The brown add-on that highlights locked lockers is also kind of nutty value for how cheap it is. It's great intel and I've even scored locker-downs off it!

I’ve been playing him non stop for the first time these past three days! I also came here to make a post asking about builds.

What perks and addons do y’all like to run?

Addons: I always use the skull. After that it’s flexible: maybe lavalier, field recorder, the 1 second less exiting locker, broken doll..

Perks: I run Iron Grasp (I like it better than Agitation) on all my killers mainly for 3 reasons: to get to a scourge hook, and to get to another hook if a survivor sabo’s one, and just to make life easier carrying survivors.

Aura reading build: BBQ is hit or miss I feel. The Scourge hook is good. I haven’t run Nurses Calling yet. I tried I’m All Ears but didn’t seem to get much value from that.

Anti healing build: Sloppy Butcher & Scourge hook with the heal/repair penalty both seem ok since the idea is to proc Nightfall as much as possible. I still run Iron Grasp with this, and not sure about the 4th perk. Maybe overcharge.

Gen slowdown: I don’t run these types of builds. I can get 2-4K without them. If I’m going to lose against good survivors this isn’t going to change that.

Gen info build: Tinkerer and Discordance, not sure what else besides those 2, maybe Deadman’s Switch and Overcharge.

Like any killer not named Nurse the problem I have with Dredge is against a good team. I was in The Game last night which any other killer I felt I probably would have won. But they were popping gens and running away from gens whenever I started chase, and lockers were just not helpful. That’s part of the problem with it (him? Her?)

Any advice against good survivors would be appreciated!

fun? when not aganist tryharders maybe. Underrated? He's a m1 killer with a teleport, in my book he's weak

Dredge is my main and I play him all the time I don't think he's underrated. And for how many times you see him in public matches...well it's like a what 1/30 something chance to get a specific killer with the huge roster.

I thought the same for a while but i landed on that dredge is honestly not that good. The idea of Nightfall is really not that effective in a game where most of the survivor gameplay is repairing gens for 90 seconds. Locks on lockers are too abundant and effective. And his anti-loop is not very reliable and has a noticable cooldown.

Dredge is a killer that overall has relatively slow map traversal and inconsistent chasing power.

I think Onryo is a lot more reliable than Dredge but has less potential.

I personally only play dredge because i think his audio and visual design is intriguing.

I agree, he's awesome. He feels like a balanced killer that can actually accomplish a lot - he's not weak and he has interesting abilities so he's fun to play, and he's not OP and he has counterplay so he's fun to play against too.

Nightfall is a really fun mechanic to play with.

The only thing is some maps just have godawful locker placement, so as often happens, a killer is less fun because of the maps and not something that has anything to do with the killer themself.

Very cool character, I hope we keep getting cool cosmetics like the snowman and the Maurice costume. (Mostly because his default head looks like a penis, and I just feel like a nerd playing as a cockmonster.)

I've been hoping he'll completely die out like Twins but sadly no luck so far.

Dredge is my second main next to Artist. They're very fun to play as and you can even pull off a few jump scares with them. They're pretty balanced in terms of gameplay and have a cool stealth mechanic (Nightfall). They're probably one of the scariest killers in the game too.

Love him too, basically main him on and off.

What always annoys me is that he's insanely reliant on map RNG - some maps just...do not have lockers anywhere useful whatsoever.

It's no secret, but I also have a lot of respect for Dredge. I didn't expect him to win me over so quickly, but from early on he just really clicked with my play style. The only other killer I've played out of the 30 to win me over as quickly as Spirit on her release, and I main her too on and off. Also, he has so many great outfits, and best of all THEY. AREN'T. LINKED.

@PowZapBamWoofMeow There are a lot of options since he's one of the more versatile killers imo. I believe you're on the right track. I can give you some example builds I use on him. Feel free to add your own touches to make them more suited to your playstyle.

    1: Eruption, NTH, Bamboozle, COB

2:Knock Out, Hex: Plaything, Hex: Third Seal, Pentimento

3: SH: PR, Lethal, Eruption, Thrilling Tremors

4: Bamboozle, Hubris, Eruption, Spirit Fury

    5: Jolt, Sloppy Butcher, SH:PR, Eruption/STBL

666: Pentimento, Jolt, SH: PR, Hex: Third Seal

He's enjoyable for me, as an Artist main, he is second nature to me and much more preferable than Knight for me. I run Floods of Rage / Lethal Pursuer / Pain Resonance / Dead Man's Switch / Make Your Choice - DMS depends if i'm running Microphone addon.

Nah he was actually way overrated at first and people realized they're just okay and not some A tier monster. I will say they're an incredible amount of fun though and the closest thing I have had to a main. It's just unfortunate when you spend too much time busting out of locked lockers but otherwise you feel like you can do something in any situation which is great.

It is the killer I like to play as and greatly dislike playing against.

His power is uncomfortable to watch.

He shamefully bad on some maps, with borderline no power.

The Yamoko Estate maps are particularly bad with locker placement.

    Still a cool Killer tho.

The Dredge is simply too adorable. He reminds me of my old pet turtle the way he bobs his head up and down. I love him.

Oh absolutely. I was really excited for his release, because I had wanted a killer with a power that involved limiting survivor visibility for a long time, and I'm still really happy that's finally in the game. His visual design is absolutely wild too.
