What is with this game...

I really do like this game, but its people are some of the weirdest. I feel like I'm back playing League every now and then. I thought I was playing a pretty nice match.

Sometimes I feel the best part of crossplay is being able to avoid endgame chat.

probably one of the more interesting interactions ive had. tried to argue with me during end game chat, i left and he decided to seek out my steam profile to continue his string of insults.

Knight sucks and is one of the worst-designed killers in a while. Nobody wants to play against a killer that can hold a match hostage for half an hour or longer. They all want to face camp at some point during the match, and their power lets them do that while keeping survivors off generators. Guards can prevent an unhook depending on the Knight and the position of the hook.

Overall, Knight is another killer that misses the mark. They're not strong, but what they can do is awful for the game.

Some people are just so mad that I'm genuinely baffled why they keep playing. It's clearly bad for their mental health if they are being so angry.

I played as barebone Nurse on Father Campbell's Chapel. I played fair and non toxic. They still gave up anyway. After the game 2 survivors were pretty salty, told me that they'll report me (as if me playing Nurse is reportable lol) and both of them left me nice comments afterwards too.

I cannot take clowns like these serious. Telling me that they'll report me (for whatever reason) but then proceed to wish my family a very bad illness plus insults. Like are they even using their brain for one minute? I could have literally reported them for harassment and that could have had some serious consequences. I obviouls deleted those, they don't deserve to have a plattform on my profile.

I played against a Knight earlier who gave me hatch. He showed me where it was with one of his guards lol it was one of a few times I wish I had an endgame chat so I could tell him how much it amused me. He's not my favourite killer by far - in late game, he can apply so much pressure I feel like I can't even catch my breath - but I couldn't imagine going off at someone for choosing to play him. Variety is the spice of life and all that. Just press continue on endgame and don't even entertain people.

Yh endgame chat is a bad idea. People say VC for survs would be toxic. Yet are fine with killers and survs being able to interact at exactly the point where everybody is likely to be at their saltiest?

    Smart move

kids with too much free time, an incurable plague of online gaming, best to just say gg and go next or you will lose brain cells interacting with people like this, unless you enjoy your sanity slowly being sucked into the void

End game chat can be a very toxic place (and is honestly best kept closed) but this is not one of those instances.

They have a point, it isn't impolite or rude to say they dislike a aspect of the game. The only mildly rude thing here was their choice of language and that's stretching it

This isn't a case of people being weird but you taking things to personal. They never said anything about you or your playstyle. Just that they dislike the knight

They could certainly find a better way of saying like "i don't like playing against knight" cause the way they worded it certainly sounded like they were swearing at the player.

Yeah but the thing is the word that was probably censorred really doesn't have the stigma it used to have. A lot of households use that word very casually.

But yes i 100% agree they could have phrased it more politely. Just find that screenshotting it and posting it on the forums talking how weird people are is a bit of a overreaction to say the least.

Lets also not forget that the censorring of this game is subpar at best.

    #### could just as easilly have been screw. It wouldn't surprise me if that would be censorred

I don't know, i really don't think anyone did anything wrong here

They just want a baby M1 killer so they can loop for 5 minutes and escape that's why they hate killers with a anti loop ability. Naming knight, nurse, blight, trickster etc

I laughed for a good minute but you're right this is getting ridiculous.

It would help solo q be less unbearable. Particularly for new players. Swfs get VC anyway so I don't see why the game doesn't simply have an integral chat to keep all survivors on even footing. Currently solo q games usually killer steamrolls unless you have a full lobby of competent survs which is extremely rare.

And sure I'm sure most people enjoy being verbally abused versus just not.

My escape rate is fine thanks, but ty for the attenpt to stat bash. Tbh I talk more from my killer experience than my surv, I don't play solo q much anymore, only swf. But my killer games are walkovers most of the time.

Fine by me. I don't particularly like talking to people who use thinly veiled insults to try and prove a point.

No worries, agree to disagree. Tbh the skill issue is why I think VC would be good for the game. Imo the whole point of VC is to help people build the skill instead of leaving them to flounder and work it out.

Like for example My swf had a new player and we were able to talk him through basic stuff like not hitting the struggle button on first hook and leaving totems alone so we could CoH it. Running him through, roughly how a killer's power worked whenever he saw a new one. Like avoiding grouping up with legion, keeping an eye out for GF instead of relying on listening for TR.

Makes the game far more tolerable at the start. When for new players it is pretty dog ######### with no help. Tutorial is incredibly basic and not everyone is gonna sit down and research how each of the 30 odd killers work.
