Predator and Prey
This new mechanic may help with game balance:
These buffs have different conditions for activating, and are fluid. Predator and Prey Buffs are linked to Generators completed and hook states.
Predator I: Before the first Generator is completed, the Killer has -8 Terror Radius and Generators are completed at normal speed. Once the first Generator is completed, this increases to Predator II.
Predator II: At 4 Generators, Generator speed is set at 95% speed and the Killer gains a 1% movement speed increase. This increases to Predator III once there are only 2 Generators left.
Predator III: at 2 Generators left, Generator speed is set at 90% repair speed and the Killer gains an additional 2% movement speed increase.
The Killer loses all Predator benefits once the first Survivor is killed in any way.
Prey I: When any Survivor is hooked after the first Generator is completed, survivors gain Prey I. At Prey I, Survivors gain a 3% speed increase to Healing, Unhooking, and Mending. This increases to Prey II once any Survivor is hooked twice (but not when a Survivor reaches the second hook state on first hook).
Prey II: Once any Survivor is hooked twice, Prey II is activated. At Prey II, Survivors gain a 3% speed to Vaulting, Repair, and a 10% recovery speed from Dying, Exhausted, Blind, and Oblivious. Once any Survivor dies by any means, this increases to Prey III.
Prey III: Once a Survivor dies by any means, all other survivors gain PREY III. All Survivors gain a 5% speed increase to Opening Gates and Totem Cleansing, in addition, gain the ability to pick themselves up from Dying Once per Trial.
Once the Exit Gates are opened, Survivors lose all benefits from Prey.
