Ghostface didn't set off spine chill.
Is there some way for ghostface to not trigger spine chill on a non marked survivor. There is no way I missed being marked because he had to hit me twice to down me. Cheating or a bug possibly? Or is there some other explanation?

Undetectable grants immunity to the proximity part of Spine Chill, it only activates with unbroken LOS in that case

Wow okay did not realize this, thanks. I have 150 hours or so in this game but I still feel like a complete newbie and barely understand what is going on. I assume most times I think something must be a bug or cheating there is some actual explanation I just don't understand.

spine chill used to work against stealth killers. this got changed recently to not work against stealth killers.

Spine Chill lights its icon whenever a Killer is within 36 metres, regardless of whether they are Undetectable or not.
Sure against Undetectable the terror radius intensity indicator only works as they wrote above

Okay, so there was something fishy going on then...

Undetectable only disables the TR indicator. The perk icon still lights up when within 36m and if there's also LoS the action buff applies.
Not sure what sequence of event the OP experienced, but within these parameters, that's how the perk works, or should've worked.

undetectable has a definition on insidious. removes stain, terror radius, and killer aura. he has undetectable with night shroud.
spine chill has a part that says "icon indicates the strength of killer's terror radius" so it's possible that the icon gave you the buff when looked at, but not the lit up icon.
