My favorite thing to do in this game, and I think would be the biggest fun feature in DBD history.

So you are a Survivor. You just had a really fun match. You ran the Killer really well.

The most amazing thing to do in this moment is to relive it. So, you fire up DBD's Replay feature, and you click on "Killer view" and now you see the Killer's view during the match, and you get to see how it felt chasing you in that match.


My most favorite thing to do in DBD, is check if the Killer is a TTV streamer, because watching myself play and get chased... is fun. I learn a lot. I get better. And it's fun to relive when you play well. And a learning opportunity when you play poorly.

So.....I think DBD should have a Replay feature.


Now, before you go and say "no, it's too hard to program. We'd have to rebuild the game from the ground up. It can't be done." whatever whatever. Let me take you on a story time.

Once upon a time, many years ago, I advocated for a Replay feature in league of legends. I posted about it on their old forums many times. I would get the same replies... "The devs have said that it's not possible" or this and that. I posted about it so often, making suggestions, that eventually the CEO of Riot, Tryndamere himself, would post in my threads and eventually suspect I must be a paid saboteur from an enemy game dev company trying to make them look bad, and I was banned. Eventually I would be proven right. But that's another story. Anyway, one day, a talented member of the playerbase decided to make one himself. And they did. A third party, functional, replay feature. You had to download his little proggie, and it had some hiccups, but it WORKED. Suddenly Riot was left there looking like liars, or lazy-heads. Eventually, Riot caught up and made their own official replay feature, and now everyone uses Replays to save their games, learn from their mistakes, relive their highlights, etc.


I think Dead by Daylight would benefit TREMENDOUSLY from a Replay feature.

    Yes, it would be huge to have replays, especially because then you could actually prove if someone was cheating without having to have psionic powers and be recording every single match you play - it would be as simple as sending the replay file to the devs.
