Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How is Badham Preschool Balanced?

As a killer I go into the match see it’s Badham and I already don’t want to play the match I analyze my closest 3 gen and see that they are horrible the closest 3 gen is in a line with the middle gen being in the main building basement. So I start my first chase a survivor runs into the main building and goes down in the lower level of the main building but there is no basement so I literally have to leave the survivor there to be picked up and if I break open 1 of the doors that make the main building chain with the things from the side that being car loop. Where is the counter play? It has happened to me on numerous occasions once they used boon exponential and flip flop with breakout with VERY GOOD medkits and again no basement in the main building so if I slug they get up for free if I don’t they wiggle off if I snuff the boon which can spawn in the lower level (which only wastes my time btw) they have enough time to get recovery and either get up or have enough recovery to wiggle off easily no body blocks needed. So again where is the counter play I’m not wasting perk slots that I could be using on gen defense for something I don’t know they “could” have. Then if they mange to get out of the main building all the other buildings are just as bad they have Shack,House of pain, and the other house with the two opposing breakable walls with 3 windows on the bottom. So can this map get toned down a bit and also not have 5 different versions that have about the same unfair design?

Badham is prolly the single most survivor sided realm in the game rn.

It has about same counterplay for killer as midwitch for survivors.

Also I don't have any problems with the map as killer (but I mostly play wesker or spirit)

More importantly, imo, is why do we need 50 of them. Makes them come up more often.

that's the neat part, it isn't. i'd rather play garden of joy than badham.

If I’m spawning in close to the 2 story house I’m immediately breaking the door to shut down the 2 god windows. You shouldn’t really be patrolling house of pain gen and main building gen unless basement is spawning main and not shack. Preschool 1 compared to 2-4 is less safe for survivors just because the street opposite of shack is a literal deadzone for survivors with 2 gens.. Luckily for you there’s not a lot of survivors who know how to run preschool well enough to get any real value out of it atleast in my experience playing killer on that map.

Its one of if not the worst map in the game for Killer because there’s like 4 variations and all of them have a static layout with strongly-connected tiles. Even on the games I win here I still can’t stand to play through the main building or house of Pain connected to 2-3 pallets connected to shack

When im playing high tier it’s more tolerable, but dealing with 3-4 man SWFs that know how to chain tiles while playing as Ghostface? Yikes

Meanwhile on DBD FB somebody got a decent amount of likes on a post claiming most maps in the game have actually been Killer sided 😂 Not only just recent months, historically 🤣🤣

Because Badham is literally like Russian Roulette, 4-5 versions, 4-5 bullets in a chamber, you just got to get lucky and hope you dont have to bite the bullet.

There are multiple versions which alter the layout and positions of structures, but it can also alter (roughly) the amount of pallets and what they face into. Some Badham versions are better than other Badham versions, not all are built the same.

They definitely need to be looked at, but the balance is basically "pray that you get lucky" as far as Im aware.
