Challenges from Tome 1 should NEVER be brought back on other tomes.
I just completed the Last Minute Hero challenge (unhook a survivor during endgame colapse), but I lost my count on how many matches I had already tried before I even had a chance of completing it, since there was ALMOST NEVER someone hooked during EGC.
If the killer wins before endgame, there cannot be an EGC with two survivors.
If survivors win, however, the killer targets the person on death hook first. When this person is downed, everyone else escapes. There were only three times I got close before I finally completed it, three among many, many, many matches.
First, a person arrived right before me and unhooked before I could. Everyone just escaped after that. On the second close one there was just me and another survivor. I tried opening the exit gates and then go back to her... she sacrificed herself on hook. The third time happened not long ago: the survivor got hooked, escaped with resilience, tried to go for the gates, and then he and the killer had a staring contest for almost a minute instead of looping, as the killer was waiting for the EGC timer. He still downed the survivor, and my only shot at rescuing him was one second before the timer ran out and we both died. Well, the killer didn't let me.
How are you supposed to do a challenge that relies more on your luck then your effort to complete it? I had so many matches without completing it that I thought: "this is so difficult it reminds me of Tome I. Could that mean...".
So I checked and, yes, it was a challenge from Tome I. Same name, same objective. Remember how much people hated that tome's challenges? The amount of complaints on the forums? The changes the devs had to make so completing them became a more likely to happen or at least less time consuming? Remember how a lot of people still hated them after the changes? So why are some of them still brought back?
BY the way, I only completed it now because the other two survivors, who were far closer to the hook than me while I opened the gates to start EGC, were afraid to rescue. Then I just went right in and sacrificed myself. If it wasn't for that, I would still be trying the challenge.
