Ah, nothing like starting off the night with a Killer camping the hook of any survivor. This guy let the gens get pushed, I managed 2.5 before attempting to rescue a Steve who was routinely hooked, tunneled, and the killer just stood around him, waiting for someone to rescue him.

"oH bUt yOu cOuLd hAvE rUsHeD gEnS" I hear your screech! I did, but I also feel bad for the survivors who have to spend their game, laying on the ground, and then getting hooks and sitting there for 120 seconds + bleed out time.

One thing I notice commonly in the camping discussion (tunneling is a different topic) is this patronizing "well you should just do this," attitude, which really does not set tone for a proper dialogue about the issue at hand. Killers and survivors deserve a good mix of risk/reward.

cant wait to see how many posts hit me with a cry harder/rush gens/thats just how it is/should killers just not have any fun then/dont play the game

Like are you complaining about camping in general or camping at 5 gens? I mean if the killer has lost control of the match and can't defend the remaining gens the best play is to secure a kill and obviously that's also true in end game. If you're talking about camping at 5 gens and tunnelling yeah that's a scummy playstyle but how would you fix it though?

The just do gens and bring reassurance stuff is just what's currently available to try and not reward that kind of playstyle.

Trapper main, arguably the weakest Killer in the game and the only time I camp is if I've got 3 other survivors with Mettle, No Mither and Endurance body blocking me from getting to a hook.

I understand your position but it's no excuse for the match I JUST had where a Hillbilly put a Felix on the hook and just stood there until Felix as almost dead. No excuse, honestly: is it rough? Sure, guess you should learn to play better or go with a killer who cant be juked/looped.

    Same concept, right?

Hmm, you must get all my toxic survivors because 90 percent of the survivors in my games are just fine. Appreciate you taking it for the team.

"oH bUt yOu cOuLd hAvE rUsHeD gEnS"

I want this to be kept in mind when people talk about how you can't fix camping.

Hinge it on doing gens and you can work to a solution. Adapt the old 'Hook timer slows down if the killer is nearby' idea by making it dependent on the survivors doing gens, making it an obviously bad play to camp, and disallowing a bunch of survivors to put pressure on the killer by hook-swarming, and you can probably get an anti-camp that doesn't break up normal killer gameplay.

Just because its a console killer doesn't mean anything, I have faced pc killers that bled people out for zero reason a lot of the time. So I don't really understand your point by even bothering to mention the console aspect for all you know it was a epic games player. It's just bizarre yes it sucks, but don't take it out on us console players lol the whole thing against console players is just stupid.

Console killers camp less in my experience and how you even know it was console killer? Sure it's lot harder to play on console than on pc but most of us still go for chases and don't choose the easy option.

Leave to PC players to always find a way to dump on console players acting as if they're superior. A lot of you guys aren't great at killer so let's drop the console slander, K?

Is it me or do some PC players have such a massive ego just because they play PC? It's almost Tru3 levels of ego atp

And a majority of the killers I face are way worse than any survivor I face. What's the point with this us v them salt mine?

I’m a console killer that gets wins without camping or tunneling so you’re “they’re the worst” statement is a bit generalizing.

The reason console killers may, and I don’t know for sure, camp and tunnel more than Pc killers is probably due to lack of precision using controller vs keyboard & mouse. That’s why I avoid huntress and any killer that depends on aiming.

Killers and survivors deserve a good mix of risk/reward

    There is a risk/rewward

The killer risk to lose the game and secure only one kill, the reward is to exploit your altruism

Survivors risk to have one man down but the reward is to let him die and finish the gen and leave in 3

Then, as long you try to save by yourself, you just allow the killer to do what he want. Next time try to go to save with another survivor. Or do gens

Us vs Them is strong with this one… some of y’all will never grow out of it.

Maybe if killer mains and survivor mains got together and discussed things with some maturity, rather than a screaming match of who’s louder…. Maybe we’d get some results.

    Reason over passion!

I run reassurance pretty much every game as solo queue, it helps a lot. As long as my team is smart and just stays on gens it usually only gives them a 1k. Unfortunately most players just can’t resist going for the unhook anyway and if even 1 person goes for it they throw the game for everyone else as now we won’t have enough time to finish the gens.

Camping for me is nothing personal, strictly business.

If I hook someone in a 3-4 gen with view of them, then there is no reason to leave the hook.

When I get camped as survivor, I accept that the Killer is being smart if my teams isnt doing gens and move on to the next game.

I doubt it, literally no one thinks bubba is healthy yet nothing has been done.
